What are some of the disgusting things President Lyndon Johnson did on his rise to power and in the White House?

Not sure whether you mean personal or political, so here goes.

In one of his first Senate elections in Texas, his opponent was declared the winner by the slimmest of margins. Six days later, 200 votes showed up out of thin air, 199 of them for Johnson. All 200 votes were in perfect alphabetical order. Johnson “won” by 37 votes. The opponent appealed, and a usual, a Democrat judge denied the appeal. Johnson was famous for dead people “voting.”

Johnson commanded that a Texas radio station be “given” much more latitude in its broadcast area, & then amazingly his wife ended up as the station’s owner. Johnson then browbeat CBS (the station’s parent company) & others to obtain exclusivity & much, much bigger advertising dollars. This is where he & Lady Bird made their fortune.

Johnson is the architect of the Vietnam failure (though Kennedy shares a significant role in the debacle.) 57,000 American soldiers lost their lives. The standard line was that Johnson “micromanaged” the War. Johnson couldn’t micromanage a turd in a toilet bowl; Johnson “mismanaged” the War.

Current revisionists want you to believe that the Vietnam War was extended by Nixon who initiated some type of secretive Martian invasion & got North Vietnam (our enemy) to not accept Johnson’s promise to stop the bombing if North Vietnam would cease its aggression. This nonsense is referred to as “treason” on Nixon’s part by these idiots; Johnson is the one who committed treason by “giving up” on South Vietnam (our ally) & basically “selling out” South Vietnam in an attempt to have his half-wit “follower” Hubert Humphrey defeat Nixon in the 1968 Presidential election. I say “follower” because Johnson remains the only President ever to be too cowardly to not even ATTEMPT a second term. Johnson stood a better chance of being executed in 1968 than he did of a second term.

On the “personal side,” Johnson once slipped both of his hands under his secretary’s dress with his wife, Lady Bird, in the next seat. He would have young women brought to the White House as “secretaries,” & after they had been abused, he would replace them with the next group. During a meeting if Johnson needed to defecate, he would simply move the meeting into the bathroom where he would defecate while continuing the meeting. He would often lay “his Johnson” on his desk, point to it in front of others & state, “this is what got me where I am today.”

Johnson used the term “ni—er” constantly. During his appointment of Thurgood Marshall to the Supreme Curt, one of his aides suggested that they appoint another Black who was not as controversial as Marshall. “Son, when I appoint a ni—er to the Supreme Court, I want everyone to know he is a ni—er,” replied Johnson.

Johnson was an absolute piece of human garbage, easily the most vulgar & crude President ever elected. Johnson abused women, cheated on his wife, demeaned those around him, & without question, the country & the world would be better places had Lyndon Johnson never breathed his first breath of life.

Those are some fascinating and shocking bits of presidential history, for sure... I am sure that all presidents had or have their colorful moments, but LBJ certainly sounds like he indeed was one of the worst...
