OPEC controls oil prices, which is why despite record US production under Biden, the price at the pump isn't really affected that much.
That's because OPEC cuts production if the US increases it so that OPEC can control the global supply; and since all oil is bought and sold from the global supply, the cartel that controls the market controls the price.
You haven't even feigned a guess as to who controls gas prices because you're a stupid fucking idiot with no good ideas.
We tried flooding the market with shale oil from 2014-2015 and OPEC reacted by increasing production so much that it cut the price per barrel in half. That resulted in the bankruptcy of over 100 oil and natural gas companies to more than $100B, and the establishment of bailouts for oil-producing states like Oklahoma, North Dakota, and Texas in 2015.
