DOJ reviewing classified documents found at Joe Biden's private office

I do not know how Biden got those documents or what they were being used for. He was working in a University think tank. Word is there were 10 documents. We need to know their significance first before lambasting him. The lawyers turned them over immediately. it appears Biden did not know they were there.
Trump only had a truckload of classified documents. He refused to return them. Then agreed to, but lied and only gave back some. He was simply and clearly trying to steal them. He still has some .

It was an office that he only used sometimes. Maybe others used it too? We won't know what the deal was until they get done investigating it.

The DOJ had been asking the Orange Oaf for a good year to turn over the documents. With all his stalling and an investigation on-going, the FBI wisely told the dolt to secure the area where he kept his White House files.

What you are insinuating is that the DOJ & FBI falsely lead Dump's lawyers to believe all was well after that. You are promoting a false and misleading narrative, as all one has to do is examine the time line of events to see that.

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle — and in both chambers — are calling for Congress to look more closely at the recent news that classified documents from now-President Biden’s tenure as vice president were found in a private office he’d previously used.

In the newly Republican-led House, Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), chair of the Oversight and Accountability Committee, has already launched a probe into the handling of the documents.

Over in the Senate, Democrat Intelligence Committee Chair Sen. Mark Warner (Va.) is calling for Congress to be briefed on the matter.

Biden’s attorneys revealed they found a handful of Obama-Biden era documents while clearing out an office the now-president used between his White House stints, when he served as an honorary professor at the University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington.

Biden’s special counsel Richard Sauber said the legal team notified the National Archives, which took possession of the materials. The documents are now reportedly being looked at by the U.S. attorney general for Chicago, with cooperation from the White House.

The revelation has riled many on the right who see the response to the document discovery in stark contrast to the treatment of former President Trump when an FBI search uncovered over a hundred classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago residence last summer.

“The President has previously called the mishandling of presidential records ‘totally irresponsible.’ … The Committee is concerned that President Biden has compromised sources and methods with his own mishandling of classified documents,” Comer wrote in a Tuesday letter to Biden’s White House counsel, requesting relevant documents and communications.

“The Committee expects President Biden will receive equal treatment under the law given that he maintained classified documents in his unsecured office for several years with access to an unknown number of people,” Comer wrote.

Rep. Mike Turner (R-Ohio), the incoming House Intelligence Committee chair, also requested a damage assessment and a review of the classified materials contained in the documents in a Tuesday letter to FBI Director Avril Haines.

Biden's attorneys found the documents, contacted the National Archive,s who notified DOJ. Exactly the way it should happen. DOJ will investigate and determine if there is a chargeable offense.

Trump HID documents, lied to the National Archives, and has obstructed the DOJ investigation. But other than that, exactly the same.

Unlike your simplistic and myopic rantings, the facts show that when discovered, the proper procedures and authorities were notified and carried through. Materials discovered in a locked box in an official library/repository in DC.

Biden DID NOT take classified material to his private home and keep them in a common closet and private safe like Dump did. Then Dump REFUSED to turn them over to the proper authorities for damn near a year.

Big difference, but you and your compadres will ignore such fact based details in favor or your myopic propaganda as parroted by the constipated looking Tucker Carlson and cohorts.

You know nothing about having a clearance and the responsibility that goes with it. Biden had classified documents in an area where they were not supposed to be. That is a criminal violation on handling classified documents. They were discovered by people that didn't have a clearance who called authorities. If Biden wasn't in the position he is in politically, he'd have been arrested and charged. He is getting of on what might be termed 'Noble privilege.'

I never claimed to be an expert on the subject...I just follow ALL the fact based, well documented information available and logically conclude from that. Your myopic propaganda drivel is akin to a child covering his ears and yelling his talking point ad nausea....just as I predicted.
