Nice straw man, but I never called you a Democrat. The Civil War was clearly between Democrats and Republicans. Many of the mountain counties in the South were then as they are today GOP territory and thus resisted the Confederacy. You really should learn your history before trying to argue it.

Less to do with them being dems and more to do with them being an agrarian society without much industrial base from which to build weapons and modernize. The south could have won the war if the Brits had come in on their side but the south refused to at least manumit slaves and that was the sticking point for the British government. Their people would have NEVER supported allying themselves with a slave nation.

Sure the Democrat South had lots of good ol' boys who honed their marksmanship hunting vittles, and they used that skill very effectively during many battles and skirmishes. But now the Democrats have honed their skills ordering the perfect latte, not a very useful skill in warfare. LOL

As for whining, I am not whining. I don't mind the disagreement and the arguing and the debate. What sucks, to the point of tedium is that so many people resort to childish name calling and stupid generalizations. In this thread alone we have discovered that southerners have no brains and democrats were the losers in the civil war and not the south. This is not debate it is sticking your tongue out at people in the digital world like some cyber second grader. I don't care that we debate about Abortion, that was not what I meant. What I meant is no matter what the issue or what the sides, all the arguments tend toward de-evolution of name calling and people on similar sides engaging is cyber daisy chains because they are so much more clever than the other side. I am NOT saying that I am not guilty of it from time to time but fuck sakes people can we debate with out the playground mentality of nanny nanny boo boo?
