Does Romney Know Where Iran and Syria Are?

In the debate last night Romney said that Syria important because it is Iran's only ally in the Arab world and "their route to the sea." Here's a map of the Middle East:

A few things to note. First, Iran and Syria don't share a border. The "route to the sea" has to pass through Iraq or Turkey. Second, and more importantly, Iran has a huge coastline on the Persian Gulf, controls the eastern side of the Straights of Hormuz and has direct access to the Indian Ocean through the Gulf of Oman.

Strange.

1) Romney did not say they shared a border
2) Romney did not say the route was only through Iran and Syria
3) He was likely referring to their access to the Med sea via the new pipeline deal between Iran, Iraq and Syria... but I am sure you will ignore this... I mean, it does go against your little rant.

I only watched the first half hour of the debate as it was getting to 2:30am but that had me thinking what the fuck is he on about. He just said the sea, but which one, the Caspian, Mediterranean, Red, Arabian or Black Sea?

Hey that makes some sense.

Now will you admitt that Obama NEVER said that a bussiness guy didnt build his own business?

(1) I didn't say otherwise

(2) Let me directly quote him. "It's their route to the sea." Not part of their route or a leg of the route but their route. It's like saying that Colorado's route to the sea is California.

(3) You are likely just making shit up to make Romney appear to be less of a dumbass. I mean, a pipeline that runs through Iraq and Syria to the Mediterranean is a route to the sea, but Syria isn't a pipeline.

He wants to claim robmoney meant it his way.

It is a possibility that is what he meant.

There is NO possibility that Obama was saying the man who built his business didnt build his business.

No fucking way is that what he said.

YET the republican party to this day LIES about it.

hell they named their convention for their fucking lie

Will any of yopu cons come here and admitt you LIED about what Obama said?

You want us to give robmoney the benifit of the doubt here?

Then fess up to your fucKing lies

Mediterranean. Nat Gas pipeline from Iran, through Iraq and Syria to the Med sea for distribution to the EU.

Yet you implied it by saying 'they don't even share a border' as if he had said they had.

now you are just displaying your obsessive need to play semantics.

Right. Because there is no way Romney could have known about the pipeline. As for the pipeline itself not = Syria. Way to go sport... you are correct. But that pipeline cannot exist without the Syrian government's approval. Anything else hack?

did Obama say that man did not build his business?

are you going to stick to that lie?

You want us to give Robmioey the beifit of the doubt on this issue yet you refuse to admitt you and your party twisted words to gain a poltical advantage

You going to admit all the times Obama has twisted words of his opponents Desh? Or all the times you have blatantly done so?

Fess up to the lies your party has told about qwuotes from Obama if you want people to be decent you have to be decent too.

GET IT meatsack?

Dung isn't cognizant of the fact that there was a pipeline deal to the ports in Syria through which Iran would export oil.

I suppose you do realise that there has been an EU embargo on Iran since July?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-19947507

yeah... you do realize that the pipeline deal was signed in mid 2011? That it will take years to build? That it isn't even up and running yet? That they are planning for the future? That the current sanctions do not affect the construction of said pipeline? That the nat gas is a fungible commodity? That if the EU (and US) sanctions are still in place when the pipeline becomes functional, that Iran can simply sell their nat gas to other nations?
