Anyone who knows anything about politics knows politicians are inevitably bored out of their minds if they have to listen to someone on their own side. Too many people know no politicians, particularly the ones speeches have been practiced on.

Me either...which is why I didn't watch Chelsea's speech. I mean no offense to the young lady or nothing personal towards her but I could care less what she has to say. I mean what kid isn't going to support their own Mom? Unless she's Joan Crawford....or you. ;)

I've no idea about his fee fees, but I do know Hillary handled it a lot better when she lost, by a MUCH closer margin, in 08. I know that in 08 it was Hillary's responsibility to bring everyone together and smooth everything over. I know that in 2016 it was Hillary's responsibility to soothe the Bernsters and smooth everything over. I know that win or lose, it's the woman's responsibility to soothe the men. That's what Hillary and poor Bernie showed us.
 
oh well. Bernie lost no matter how rigged the game was. He could have kept his principles and #DemExit like many of his supporters.
But if he's gonna hang around and go back to being a Senator in the Democratic party ( forget that "independent meme)
he's gonna have to put up with her.

Oh Darla...please...show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser. She may have put on a better public face than Bernie and Bernie has not done bad at all. He wasn't nearly the asshole that Reagan was in 76 or Ted Kennedy was in 80. I'm also reasonably sure that out of the public view Hillary gnashed her teeth, clawed the sky and beseeched to the heavens when Barry beat her in 2008. So don't give me that sore loser crap. Nice losers are either phonies or, well, losers!

I don't know about Reagan in 76, at all actually, but from what I've heard and videos I've seen that's true about Ted Kennedy. Which just makes my point. Now doesn't it Mott?

And I DON"T think that Bernie did just fine. I think he's a huge ass and I'm really tired of being shouted down anytime I want to say so. Fuck Bernie. I hope he loses his seat. I think he's conceded, self involved ass. I would love to see what you Bernie lovers would be saying if HILLARY's campaign had hacked the freaking DNC, stole HIS voter data, and then sued the DNC for catching them.

Give it a rest. Saint Bernie has a smelly butt.

You know you bring up a great point. I don't drink martinis. I think that's what's holding me back from the upper crust of the business world! I'm going to to tell the Misses I'm not drinking this weekend just to party or get drunk but as a way to help me rise in the ranks. Thanks Mott for that value add! :)

At the end of the day it means nothing but she gets $65K to give a speech if what I read is accurate. Usually you think someone getting that type money would be a better speaker

I love speaking. You ought to see some best men speeches I've given and my wedding speech I gave. Different environment than this of course but public speaking nonetheless

No it does not. I watched the Democratic convention in 1980 and Ted Kennedy was a complete and total asshole who played a serious role in Carter losing to Reagan and was willing to bring the whole Democratic party down around him cause he didn't get his way. Bernie hasn't even been remotely as big a sore loser as Kennedy was in 80 or in 76 when Reagan had his famous hissy fit. So, no it does not prove your point. I fact it does the opposite.

Bernie is obviously not been happy about losing and to give his support he has asked for some concessions, and got them and I strongly suspect, much to your chagrine, that Hillary is going to appoint him to a cabinet position (if she wins). My guess is Dept of Education as a reward for his support just as Barry appointed her SOS for her support in the 2008 election.

I think it does prove my point, I just think you don't know what my point was!

My point was that win lose or draw, a woman always has to soothe the men! She can't act like this! She can't act like Bernie btw. Keith Olbermann said that Hillary should be brought into a shed and beaten back in 08, because she didn't concede fast enough for his liking! Imagine what he would be saying if she behaved the way Bernie did this year? I've no doubt Ted Kennedy did act the asshole and didn't care about the party, he was a man wasn't he!

I'd have no problem with her appointing him to dept of education or whatever, that would get him out of the Senate and that suits me fine.

I reject the idea that Obama asked her to be SOS as a "reward". I believe him when he said he grew to respect her a great deal during the campaign and then afterwards. I don't believe it was a reward.

Oh I can help you more. Get a perfume dispenser with the little rubber ball and fill it with Vermouth. When you order your martini request the bartender bring you a chilled martini glass and used the perfume dispenser to spray the inside of the glass with just enough vermouth the cover the glass. Then order a dessert dry martini.

It will impress and your rise in the ranks of the CoC will be spectacular.

Not really. That's what I charge and I"m a terrible public speakers. Lots of "uhms" and "ahs" and stuttering.
