Does Biden’s unwavering support for Israel risk his chance for re-election?

Half of young Americans are skeptical of US support for Israel, and campus protesters demand a ceasefire in Gaza

A recent NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll found that only 48% of Gen Z and millennials believe the US should publicly voice support for Israel. Protests demanding a ceasefire have erupted on university campuses across the country. Rashida Tlaib, the only Palestinian American in Congress, told supporters: “President Biden, not all America is with you on this one, and you need to wake up and understand. We are literally watching people commit genocide.”

Yes. Why?

Because the most likely group he'll lose votes from doing that is his base on the Left. The Right won't vote for him regardless, and his support for Israel won't change their minds. On the other hand, the younger, radical Left that is out protesting in favor of Palestine will either not vote or vote against him based on this single issue in many cases. Tlaib is correct in that the Left will abandon Biden over a single issue where they passionately disagree with him in whole or part.

Even if the loss is just a significant fraction of the total, it could be enough to tip things against Biden who is already underwater--seriously underwater--in the polls.

The thing about polls is, only one counts. On day of election.

You do not know what "non sequitur" means.

non se·qui·tur
[ˌnän ˈsekwədər]
NOUN
a conclusion or statement that does not logically follow from the previous argument or statement:

Non sequitur is literally Does not follow

You asked if Biden's support of Israel could hurt him at the polls. I gave a direct response to that. You in turn, didn't follow with anything logical and instead gave an empty platitude making your response a non sequitur.
