I guess you haven't been following Israeli politics. Bibi has been on trial for a variety of crimes. Justice seems to move at a snail's pace in Israel. Said protests are also rampant in the military, which some are blaming for Israel getting caught with its pants down a few days ago.

Couple that with Bibi's outward attempts to weaken the courts in order to save his own ass. trump is basically Netanyahu's protege. Which is why trump sucked up to him during his tenure as the worst POTUS in history.

Exactly. He'll probably ram through a numer of new protocols that will allow him to skate on his corruption charges.

Maybe he'll take a page out of our dysfunctional courts' interpretation of The Constitution and claim that a sitting leader cannot be prosecuted for any crime.

At the very least, it changes the news cycle which was not very good for Bibi.

I hope you're wrong. A protracted war would suck for everyone. Bibi is a politician who needs the US's support. I think the threat of the loss of US support would sway him to calm the fuck down soon. Of course, if trump's elected, everyone is totally fucked.
