Really? Underlings are incapable of making decisions without the executive's knowledge?

Thank you, that certainly drops a lot of bags of shit right at Obama's doorstep.
Really? You think running the Port Authority is the same a running the world's most powerful nation?

Did you care to comment on Christie?

Maria Comella, Christie’s communications director, said the governor "encourages healthy discussion," adding that his advisers are "a group of individuals who feel the best place to have our conversations is in our office and not in the press."
Insiders say there is no doubt Christie is in charge, but his staff plays a large behind-the-scenes role in shaping what he does. Like the management style he used as U.S. attorney, Christie allows debate, takes insiders’ opinions seriously — then makes the final decision.
"It’s not singular voice, ‘My way or the highway,’ " Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno said in an interview last month. "It’s singular voice in that, we all come to the table and discuss policy. The governor makes the call and then we implement the policy."
While they can disagree in private, those who don’t maintain such a united front face consequences, even if they are cabinet stars.
Former Education Commissioner Bret Schundler was fired after he openly disagreed with the governor during last year’s failed attempt to get federal Race to the Top money. The quick ouster sent a message to the rest of the cabinet, said Michael Murphy, a Democratic lobbyist who once ran for governor.
"The people closest to him help write the songbook," Murphy said. "If you’re not on the same page, if you’re not in the same songbook as the governor, it’s not going to be well-received."

Nothing happens without not only Christie's knowledge...but his blessing. The walls are crumbling around him

Really? You think running the Port Authority is the same a running the world's most powerful nation?

Really? You think the governor of New Jersey runs the Port Authority?

Do you know that the Port Authority Police have jurisdiction in New York State as well?

Are you saying that Chris Christie runs a federal police force?

Are you saying that Chris Christie is already the President?

Do you have an inkling of WTF you are talking about?

Is it just me or does this whole "Bridgegate" thing come across as way too convoluted, petty and politically risky? By all accounts, this guy was a shoo-in for reelection, and was pretty well known (to my disgust) for working closely with Democrats when he thought it was to everyone's benefit. A cursory glance at his record tells me that this action on his part is not really consistent with what we know about him. Not quite so difficult to swallow is the concept that the two people he has assigned blame to were a couple of kamikaze pilots willing to commit political seppuku because their Emperor was dishonored. And from the absolute depths of cynicism, what I think really happened was... Well, let's just wait for a few years and see if these two people surface as minor functionaries for some low level Democrat running for local office somewhere.

What does that have to do with Hillary? Nothing.

You are mistaken, sir.

Since Hillary reviewed the same intelligence as Bush and Cheney, helped gin up support for an Iraq invasion, and voted for it herself, she would obviously need to be shot as well as co-conspirator.

:awesome:

Christie is done, burnt. He has been exposed. Corruption all along, Bridgegate is just the first time he was caught. Too bad for the GOP, the fat loser was your only chance. Now you have no one.

I stand humbly corrected.

do you want to know who cares about a traffic jam in jersey....answer, the same people who could care less about obama and the boys giving guns to mexican drug cartels to gin up gun stats, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of mexicans and two federal agents....the same people who could care less about the thousands of libyans killed to make obama look like a tough guy....the same people who declare "what difference does it make" regarding the murder of a us ambassador, three others, and the framing/jailing of an american citizen....the same people who shrug off 17 trillion in debt, the same people who believe that the president is not bound by the constitution, the same people who could care less about nsa spying, irs targeting political opposition to expansive govt, epa land seizures, hhs destroying one seventh of the economy; in fact the same people who scream for control of their uterus turn over control of their body and every aspect of their life to the very same govt....yeah but that traffic jam is really really important....intellectually corrupt, morally dysfunctional and stuck on stupid....

Christie's a bully, a liar and a disgusting pig, no two ways about it. Not only did he throw Bridget Kelly under the bus, he fell back on chauvinistic stereotypes to explain the actions.

TRENTON — The attorney for Bridget Anne Kelly on Friday attacked the internal report that singled her as the lone conspirator in the Christie administration in the George Washington Bridge scandal, saying it contained "venomous, gratuitous and inappropriate sexist remarks" that intended to discredit her...

When asked about the report’s observations of Kelly and the suggestions that they may have been sexist, Christie offered a brief response during an hourlong press conference Friday. "I think the report laid out the facts as the investigators found them," Christie said. "However anybody wants to interpret them is up to their interpretation..."

The report depicted Kelly, the 42-year-old, mother of four, as a duplicitous schemer who ordered a staffer to delete an email to "cover her tracks," and a jilted lover whose actions may have been affected by the recent breakup with Christie campaign manager Bill Stepien. It also makes various references to Kelly appearing "as if she had been crying" and "looking upset" after questioned about her involvement in the matter...

State Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg (D-Bergen), the co-chair for the legislative committee investigating the bridge matter, described the report’s depiction of Kelly as "gratuitously sexist, inappropriate and disgusting. Anybody who put their name on that report should be ashamed of themselves..."

Montclair University political science professor Brigid Harrison agreed with Critchley’s assertion that the report’s assessment of Kelly was meant to undermine her. "There is no doubt the language describing Bridget Kelly played into sexually based stereotypes and traditional characterization of women as being dependent on men, needing a man’s approval, and so distraught about Bill Stepien breaking up with her it was the sole priority of her life," Harrison said...

Anybody who would defend this odious stench Christie has no character to speak of.

Oh wait... we already know that about you, precious.
