Okay so you think I am wrong. So what exactly is it that DeSantis is trying to do? Educate me, please.

Bring back readin,' writin' and rithmitic' as priorities in teaching. Not teaching young children they can pick their gender.
Ah I just looked it up. The OP was not clear. Blame him. Anyway...
A federal judge in Florida on Thursday blocked a law pushed by Gov. Ron DeSantis that restricts certain race-based conversations and analysis in colleges.
Tallahassee U.S. District Judge Mark Walker issued a temporary injunction against the so-called “Stop Woke” act in a ruling that called the legislation “positively dystopian.”
The law prohibits teaching or business practices that contend members of one ethnic group are inherently racist and should feel guilt for past actions committed by others. It also bars the notion that a person’s status as privileged or oppressed is necessarily determined by their race or gender, or that discrimination is acceptable to achieve diversity.
The ruling is at least a temporary setback to the powerful Republican governor’s agenda to combat what he describes as the “woke ideology” of liberals and critical race theory, a way of thinking about America’s history through the lens of racism.
So it is colleges, not public schools. So I was wrong on that minor part. The comment still stands. No discussions about the history of the Black and Jewish people in colleges.
So please educate me as why it is necessary and what examples it have happened in colleges. I am willing to learn. Does the law prohibit the professors and students from learning and discussing the history of, say, the discrimination of Black people, the Civil Rights Act and MLK Jr.? If so, why? What happens if it is taught or discussed in colleges? Explain to me in details, please.
Thank you.
So teachers in Florida have not been teaching reading, writing and arithmetic? I didn't know that. No wonder the kids are dumb in Florida.
They're dumb here in PA too. Hope those cash registers don't break down that tell them how much change you get this Christmas season, you'll be waiting for awhile.
Anecdotes dismissed. Try again.
I now understand what the law says but I asked for examples of your claim that it has been happening. Do you have any?
But they can limit what you teach children. States set limits on that all the time. This is petty equivalent to limiting the age the kids get to view porn. Free speech doesn't mean you get to bring Hustler to your first grade class... and the law simply limits when you can begin sexualizing children.
It can, providing the authority is given in the Florida State constitution. It seems that our friend, The Parrot Boy, believes that Florida can establish a state church.
Utah can, provided the authority is given in the Utah State constitution. In that case, Mormonism would be the official state religion in Utah and whoever lives there or moves to/visit there must submit to their state religion, church and laws.
Discard of history.

Utah can, provided the authority is given in the Utah State constitution.
I guess you never learned history, when some States DID have State religions.
You don't even hide your fascism anymore.
Fascist
The problem is the way history is taught. It rekindles the division and disdain. Don't over emphasize the unpleasant side of our country's history, the good does outweigh the bad.
Where does the "over emphasizing" occur?
You've never taken a social studies class?
It helps them to understand how their experiences have shaped them and who they are.

Correct. Glad you're learning. Any more questions?
The "woke teaching" does not exist in Florida public schools.
"Ministry of Truth" exists only in the "1984" book. It is an invention of Orwell.
Read the Constitution and educate yourself.
States can not establish state church.
