Do Police Lives Matter?

Do police lives matter? Is the anti-police rhetoric responsible? Is anyone responsible?

if a civilian shoots and/or kills a cop, he/she most certainly is held responsible. However, if a cop shoots and/or kills a civilian, the most likely result is going to be a paid vacation for the cop and a lawsuit that the city will settle in order to retain a killer cop that will keep the uppity civilians in line. how is that responsible?
