buggywhips like unions have seen better day's.
That's true but that doesn't make them any less relevent. However, their influence is still strong. It's the fear of unionization which keeps most companies offering competative wages and decent working conditions. I know that most business owners feel that since it's their money they have the right to run their business how they see fit and treat their people as they see fit.

Let me put it to you like this Topper. If you were a business teacher with 20 years under your belt how would you feel if your collective barganaing rights were curtailed and then they hired Dixie as your Superintendant?

I want to make certain that I understand.

If a school district, government, business owner or shareholder wants to lower labor costs, it's "greed".

If a worker wants more money for their labor, it's NOT greed.

Is that about right?

you agree they are getting smaller but not less relevant.

Unions can be good and useful, but like anything else there is too much of a good thing. Unions are what killed Detroit, and unions aren't what's going to save it.
