Do Democrats want to ban guns?

It is extremely rare, and well reported, when a member of the NRA kills somebody through illegal action. If there was one that did, he may be a cop or something defending himself, but the likelihood of one of their members killing somebody other than in self-defense or the line of duty is slim. You should remember that their membership is less than 1% of the nation (maybe slightly more than 1%, but I think it is less).

I could be wrong, but I doubt it. Hence doubtless... zero.

It's a lil over 1%. It's members are only about 4% of legal gun owners, though as many as 15 million are followers of the organization (meaning they actively support it but are not members).

Those are rarities with regards to any segment of the population. Crimes of passion are probably under %1 of all violent crimes. Around 75% however, are gang on gang crimes committed over drug turf. So if you want to curb violence, legalizing drugs, and taking away the major source of profit for gangs to fight over, is a much better solution.
 
No and I would say it would be almost impossible to ban guns in this country too! What about people who live around polar bears, grizzly bears, mountain lions, wolves, and ect?! Also look at the job lost too, if you could ban guns? There are too many guns out there, this is not England?!!

Nope, it seems that people that join have better control than those who don't. If one were to do that though the headline would say, "NRA member kills wife in fit of rage!"

Kind of like when somebody gets in a car accident in a car it's reported (if it even gets reported) as a car accident, but if they were in an SUV the headlines scream, "SUV goes out of control and kills dozens!"

I went to college to learn to draw and paint and to uni to learn how to get drunk and fool around. Don't know what an American college is like... fortunately.
Cuba is nice at this time of the year. Open to ALL people except yanks, so yes, I could go but its not on my to do list at the mo.

A brief bit of NRA history. At one time the Annual Meeting of Members was the venue through which voting members controlled not only the direction, but even the leadership of the organization. The infamous "Cincinnati Revolt" of May 21, 1977, is a touchstone of NRA lore. That day, the membership ousted a leadership suspected of being soft on gun control and replaced them with no-compromise, pro-gun hardliners led by Harlon Carter. (A piece of personal history on Carter, as a 17-year-old the future NRA head shot and killed another child. He was convicted of murder, but was later freed on appeal on a technicality.)

I speak Spanish rather well, and my wife is puerto rican, so the non caucasian part is awesome. Well until I get into trouble for staring at the women. And I wouldn't want any Cuban rum.
