Dixie's Missing and Not-So-Historic Victory Dance

Where's Dixie to tell us how this is a victory for Republicans?

Or maybe it's a defeat for Americans, who voted in the Democrats.

Or maybe the terrorists have won.

Come on. Make it good.

Actually, it is pretty historic. In mine and your lifetime, there have been only two changes of power in the House, in 1994 by Republicans, and last night.

It's also the first time I can recall a party winning without articulating a plan. It will be interesting to see how Democrats plan to deal with the problems they ran on changing, particularly since they mistakenly assume America gave them a blank check.

For those of you who think I am all upset and disappointed today, ready to blow my brains out because Republicans didn't win, I hate to burst your bubble, but it really doesn't matter to me. Republicans tend to do better when they are in the minority role, and if it weren't for having to watch Nancy Pelosi gloat, and lie about wanting to be bipartisan, and the thought of BinLaden dancing in his cave, I would be dancing with you.

"it really doesn't matter to me. Republicans tend to do better when they are in the minority role"

Right down there with "the check's in the mail." I don't think anyone is buying that one, Dix.

Hey...remember that post you had on FP where you definitively concluded that the "Culture of Corruption theme FAILED," because a Republican won in a heavily Republican district?

You were wrong...

Gee, I don't recall a "Onceler" at the FP site. You must be one of those liberal pinheads with no ethics, who has to keep changing monikers, to avoid the idotic statements you've made in the past.

Guess you're no Dr. Seuss fan.

As for idiotic statement on FP, I could spend the next week doing nothing but bumping predictions & conclusions that you have made about everything from the Iraq War to the election that were completely, 100% wrong. I could practically make a career of it.

Enjoy your lengthy stay in the political wilderness, Dix....

Bull$hit! I'm so tired of the right trumpeting this lie. Time after time, the democrats have laid out plans to fall on your deaf ears.

Some other nut on the radio was spewing the same $hit you are. Read up.

I like the GOP best when they are in the minority as well.... that may be the first thing I have ever agreed with Dixie on.

Then why did you go to the trouble of voting?

Well Dixie apparently voted demoncratic since he feels that the republicans are best in a minority position.

The "Republicans work best in a minority position" has to be one of the most absurd, amusing spins I have ever heard. Maybe Rummy can use that as soon as he gets fired...."hey, I can call the shots better from a position out of power"...

Republicans work best ?

Thats not what he said....

What does "tend to do better" mean to you?

What is it with conservatives & word-parsing? Since the Clinton years, they have taken over. They rule.

your question is irrelevant...
in any case, 'do better' does not mean 'work best'

You really don't see a difference....cripes, its third grade English

As a party, you're either gonna work best in the majority, or work best in the minority.

I thought Dix made his feelings on which the GOP works best in pretty clear....

Are we to guess at the context?

How about, "They do better in the minority than the Democrats, but work best in the majority...."

Dix said...Republicans tend to do better when they are in the minority role,

but didn't say better than what....so we can't be positive what his meaning is....whats the big deal anyway..
