There are a couple of major "things to note" about this news.
[1] The "Disinformation Board" was never needed for all of these years that the major social media companies have all been in cahoots with government, but suddenly the "need" for it pops up just after Elon Musk purchases Twitter?? I assume that no explanation is necessary for what's going on here.
[2] I'm personally not a fan of the words "disinformation", "misinformation", and "malinformation" and try to use them as little as possible. I prefer the words 'truths' and 'lies' a lot more (or "mistakes", "errors", or something along those lines). In any event, this Ministry of Truth is a blatant violation of the 1st Amendment and a literal formation of a Ministry of Truth straight out of 1984 (the book, for the clueless liberals on this forum).
Liberals tend to use "disinformation", "misinformation", and "malinformation" as buzzwords, as liberals typically do. Demonkkkrats are forming this Ministry of Truth to quell any speech that is not government-approved speech. The government, NOT you, will determine what are truths and what are lies.
The government, via their Ministry of Truth, will attempt to force you to adopt the beliefs that up is down, left is right, good is evil, evil is good, truths are lies, lies are truths, war is peace, freedom is slavery, CO2 is warming the Earth, COVID is a deadly disease, murdering children is healthcare, Adam & Steve is a marriage, hydrocarbons are fossils, tomatoes are vegetables, impossible (to digest) burgers are meat, and on and on and on...

In the case of the Ministry of Truth, I would use the word lies to describe what they are spreading.
When liberals use the term "misinformation" (or "disinformation" or "malinformation"), they tend to mean "any speech that opposes the latest government-approved position on any given topic".

It very well could be, but one could also simply be mistaken about something without lying about it.
