one of my granddaughters attends a school whose enrollment is almost 100% latino

she is a blue eyed blond and is picked on because she does not have the same skin color that the other kids have

yep, racism is everwhere

In order to feel like you are "In", someone must be "Out".

In using hispanic labor, my contractors have found that there are often hatreds between Puerto Ricans and Cubans, between Mexicans and Guatamalans, and some other groups that escape my poor memory.

There are often prejudices against other groups that defy logic.



I remember the old episode on the original Star Trek, with the people who are black on one side and white on the other. Unfortunately racism exists on many levels.

And pubic schools are places of unusual cruelty. I think many schoolyards make Gitmo look like Mr Roger Neighborhood.
 
Hate is an inherent human frailty.

Look no further than Ireland were evrybody is the same but they still found a way to hate.

What happened to your daughter is sad .. I wish it were different.

kids can be real shits to each other over the most ridiculous things...just like adults

whoever is in the majority seems to feel the need to dump on the minority

one of the things in the constitution is to prevent the tyranny of the majority over a minority - it works for somethings but not for social economic status

race, gender, religion etc it tries - it is still illegal for atheists to hold public jobs in parts of the nation per a scotus decision a while back

Yeah. When will they learn that they're all spics now? Old national tribalisms are a step backwards.
