Did obama get a bounce?

the link is there for anyone who wants the truth, not general's version

Actually, the link doesn't have the actual relevant pre-converntion poll data. For those that actually want to look at the data, go here:

http://polltracker.talkingpointsmemo.com/contests/us-president-12

Also, too, here is what the only pollster to have released fully pre- and post- convention polling data, Rasmussen, has to say about Obama's post-convention polling:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows President Obama attracting support from 50% of voters nationwide, while Mitt Romney earns 45% of the vote. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, and three percent (3%) are undecided.

This is the president’s biggest lead over Romney among Likely Voters since March 17. See daily tracking history. Obama’s convention bounce has been more significant than Romney’s. As with all bounces, it remains to be seen how long it will last.

Lolerpops.

lmao...so now you tout rasmussen as an accurate poll, despite dissing them previously

you crack me up....dissing RCP and now touting rasmussen

TFF

Probably won't know till next weekend. Doesn't look like it though.

It does look like it if you look at pre and post convention polls as opposed to the aggregate of all polls over all time. Poll aggregators are good, but there is reason to favor recent polls over older ones, which aggregators don't do. There's a bounce, and a significant one.

I'm not dissing or touting anyone. Rasmussen has a likely voter model that leans Republican. It's just a simple fact. Even so, as with any other poll, you can use Rasmussen to get the trend of the race while discounting the specific results. The skewed likely voter model doesn't explain the +9 movement towards Obama following the DNC. It's a bounce and a big one.

If you have to ask, then you haven't been paying attention. Go to Youtube, and watch Clinton's speech.

I am against corporations, or extremely wealthy individuals giving hundreds of millions to a campaign.

What do they expect in return?

Adelson wants Israel to attack Iran.

Are you also against wealthy unions giving hundreds of millions to campaigns?

This prolonged exchange between DH and spurt is a perfect example of why Onceler is no longer here...and instead we get more and more yurt.

Well, I should say, you get.

thanks for adding nothing but whining to the thread darla. i really like how you actually believe i am responsible for onceler's meltdown and subsequent vacation from the board. i am so powerful that i control some anonymous poster's mental well being.

LOL

This just in... a blind squirrel saw the bounce...

How is this even a question Yurt? He got a minimum of a 5 point bounce (on avg... some polls more so)

Also, too, CNN poll for 8/31 to 9/3 (just before the convention) showed a tie and the poll released today for 9/7 to 9/9 (immediately following the convention) has Obama at +6.

I'm convinced he purposefully does these things in order to infuriate people so he can then accuse them of having a "meltdown".

Meanwhile any person who doesn't want to shove yurt off a bridge simply is not normal or is in a coma.

That's right...when you can't discredit their numbers then just attack the source.

YOU touted rasmussen in your OP, now suddenly you don't accept their numbers?

What am I saying? Of COURSE you won't if it means admitting you were wrong.
