Did Bush lie about Iraq?

There is a documented lie - regarding an agent known as Curveball, in a state of the union speech.

But to me, that's fairly minor. What I find to be "the lie" is the way intel was cherrypicked to make a case for war. Like the British said, the intel was being "fixed around the policy." They made the decision to go to war, and then took only that intel which supported a case for war.

You can argue that it isn't technically a "lie" to do that - but it sure ain't honest.

It was a lie

Americans will never fall for the rights evil

they are slashing the wrists of their party.

It will die

a better party will replace them

There was no cherry picking. There was, as ms. Miller asserts, and she was in the midst of the actual reporting from long known, well established sources, a sense of over precaution. That's neither lying, nor cherry picking.

Obama's Curveball

One of his other main challenges has been to allay Western concerns that the Libya rebels are fighting an East against West tribal civil war and that Islamists make up a significant part of their forces.
nice smooth western education just like Curveball -a "guy we can do business with"

eat shit liar

none of your lying shits will ever be president again.

your party is evil

its also being killed dead by its own racist base

Judith Miller is correct in some ways. I would not call what GWB did an outright lie.

There was pressure on the investigators to come up with a pre-determined answer. Those investigators that came up with the answer Cheney wanted were given creditability. Those who came up with answers that were not what was wanted were demoted and in at least one case a CIA Operative was outed.

Anyone who doesn't believe that the US public was purposefully mislead into the immoral Iraq war is simply a moron incapable of critical thinking.

Colin Powell's top aide said he was given a "chinese menu" of intel and told to take what he needed to make the case for war to the UN. British intelligence said the intel was being "fixed around the policy." Paul Wolfowicz said that they used WMD's to "sell" the war to the public.

Please. The intel was absolutely, 100% cherrypicked. It's historical record.

there is a small group of humans who dont believe the facts of this history on this entire planet

republicans in the usa.

Well what do you call that then other than an overt attempt to deceive the American public?

No, the morons are those who choose to ignore all the facts, and instead rest upon their high horses of insignificant dull witted self righteousness. As Ms. Miller explains in her docu-mini, there was no lying- mistakes were made, but even those mistakes had reasonable beginnings.

They cherrypicked the intel. It's documented.

What we had was a President who decided to go to war early on, and used what he could to justify that.

What I want is a President who will bend over backwards to find reasons NOT to go to war. Bush didn't do that. He was determined to go to war w/ Iraq, and it was the biggest foreign policy blunder in modern times.

You can't prove anything you just said but then you probably think that Sarah Palin said she could see Russia from her house
