Announcing an exploratory committee gets free media attention and it is a legal thing for campaign finance laws. If a candidate does it early they are hoping it may cause others not to announce.

I don't think so. She can always have a special election in the case she becomes president. A lot of people on both the left and right run for president while having another office. Also voters in her state may think that she will benefit them better as president than as Senator, and having her resign is too much of a risk in case she loses. I'm looking forward to hear more about her policy proposals.

I think she'd stand up for herself much better than Hillary did. The sexists would still call her a shrew for doing so but Dems need to stop trying to please people they'll never reach anyway.

I voted for Johnson last go round. The moonbats on this board somehow can't distinguish the difference between "Trump" and "Johnson".

For their part, the Democrats appeal to voters with a three-pronged message:
