Did anyone hear Saint Cuomo lie about Spanish Flu?

This thread is extremely critical of Trump.

It's pretty clear how those on the right feel about the obvious, significant contrast between Trump and Cuomo. A guy who, btw, has no plans to run for President, and wouldn't face Trump even if he eventually did.

Most Americans see it, too. Calm, thoughtful, consistent leadership. Stability. Compare that to Trump's constant contradictions and blame-fest.

Scientists still do not know for sure where the Spanish Flu originated, though theories point to France, China, Britain, or the United States, where the first known case was reported at Camp Funston in Fort Riley, Kansas, on March 11, 1918.

Some believe infected soldiers spread the disease to other military camps across the country, then brought it overseas. In March 1918, 84,000 American soldiers headed across the Atlantic and were followed by 118,000 more the following month.

You should read more books. Or at least a book. Make it up if you have to.

"Although some researchers argue that the 1918 pandemic began elsewhere, in France in 1916 or China and Vietnam in 1917, many other studies indicate a U.S. origin. The Australian immunologist and Nobel laureate Macfarlane Burnet, who spent most of his career studying influenza, concluded the evidence was “strongly suggestive” that the disease started in the United States and spread to France with “the arrival of American troops.” Camp Funston had long been considered as the site where the pandemic started until my historical research, published in 2004, pointed to an earlier outbreak in Haskell County."

Oops. There is some debate about where the virus started, but there are MANY historians that believe it originated in the US and was taken overseas by troops in the Spring of 1918. Do you know ANYTHING?

We’ve seen that type before.

Calm, thoughtful and well-spoken but their policy prescriptions frankly suck lol.

We survived 8 years of that under Obama.

Interesting. So, you're convinced yourself that it's better to have an erratic, every-other-day contradiction, blame others first leader, because the results are just so amazing.

Are we better off than we were 4 years ago?

And what specific policies of Cuomo are poor?

Judging by results, Cuomo’s preparations weren’t so hot.

The key to ‘getting Trump’ is to focus on results. No new wars, lots of good judges appointed, record setting economy, historic employment numbers for minorities, people are working [well, were] stock market setting records [well, it was].

Results, results, results. Why anyone cares about the rest is beyond me. Elections aren’t a congeniality contest.

Results? Record setting economy?

This is the worst economy we've had since the Great Depression. The results are horrible. By your own standard, Trump is probably the worst President we have ever had.

I hope you are ok don... You seem much more upset than normal...... Take a few deep breaths, perhaps a cold shower, a couple beers..

Post #1 you started w/ this They never closed anything down

& by post #10 it has changed to entire economy..

did the entire economy in the country shut down fuck head?

You didn’t really expect to get away with that, did you lol?

This virus and our *expert guided responses* to it would have trashed any economy and any president’s economy. IOW, we transitioned from the Trump economy to the Fauci-Birx economy in six short weeks.

How do you like the Fauci-Birx economy so far?

The virus from China that China failed to contain has caused death and economic loss in America and around the world.

Every country is suffering.

President Trump has followed the guidelines and advice set by Fauci and Birx.

When the virus is over, America will return to the booming economy that President Trump has given us for the last three years.

President Trump is in the top five of best presidents, Snowflake.

Why do you blame President Trump for the virus from China that China failed to contain?

Because you are a dumb, partisan hack.

It has no impact on people who don't work for a living, does, it, lol?

Or the work from home workers.

They can do this indefinitely. Not surprisingly, there’s a high percentage of Lockdown 4-Ever cheerleaders in that group.

The ‘essentials’ are predominantly working class: trucker drivers, farmers, people who work the counters at Wally World and etc.

The only professional class that is being ‘inconvenienced’ [to use Fauci’s favorite term] are the physician/healthcare workers. Unless they are on the absolute front line their services haven’t been needed.

The Congress critters have gone into hiding—but they get paid no matter what. They probably like it. They can sit around all day and ankle bite Trump on Twitter. Or maybe take a break and eat some ice cream. Force them to wait on unemployment checks and watch how fast they get back to work.

I notice Trump has been hard at it though.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—While President Trump and some Republican governors are pushing to reopen the country soon, Democrats are much more cautious as they see a looming disaster if America ends the shutdown early: Trump getting credit for a growing economy.

“Right now, we have record joblessness, and GDP is certainly going to take a huge hit,” said Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. “That’s exactly what you want in an election year when you’re running against an incumbent. If we reverse that too soon, we’re basically helping Trump’s reelection.”

“If we reopen now, it could be an absolute disaster,” added Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. “We could have people in November saying, ‘Wow. Things are getting better. Trump is doing a great job.’ It’s hard to imagine anything worse than that.”

Pelosi and Schumer said that "out of an abundance of caution," they need to wait to make sure things stay pretty bad until after the election, as that will be the only way to stave off another Trump term.

“Oh, and I guess if we reopen things too soon,” Schumer added as an afterthought, “it could also lead to a resurgence of people dying.”

“Well, we’d have to hope,” Pelosi said, “or it would look like Trump knows what he’s doing.”

That’s actually not satire.

They really do fear a ‘too quick’ economic recovery before the election.

And they want rid of Trump because he is ‘immoral’. Let that sink in.
