I think it's a legit question to ask whether it's 'appropriate' for Cheney to be speaking out as he is. There's the unwritten rule that ex-Presidents don't criticize the current officeholder. Does that same unwritten rule apply to VP's?

If a Republican wins office in '12 and Biden is out there critizing will Republicans get all upset? (Of course with Biden people will probably just laugh...)
 
well that "unwritten rule" has been BROKEN many times starting with Jimmah Carter and going on with Bill Clinton, Al Gore, etc..

I say it's time to fight back, these people have been able demonize people (like Bush while in office) and there was no response to it...

now is the time to fight fire with fire.......screw them if they don't like it..:good4u:

Cheney has ever right to defend himself against the attacks from the white house about all the bad Bush policies they "inherited"..

I hope he keeps talking just to keep the whiny ass Progressives screaming like little babies...

When Dead Eye Dick explains how Libby got hold of information in CIA report that was the VP's eyes only, and then somehow got the go ahead to put that info in a general memo to be circulated on the hill, then I might take him seriously. And THAT would be just for starters. Oh wait, he's coping the "executive priviledge" defense...so he doesn't have to explain anything.

I hope the sneering little troll suffers before he dies......justice for the 25,000 maimed and 4,000 dead Americans he willing used as pawns for the PNAC agenda.

I hope Cheney keeps whining right through 2012.... The Liberals need an enemy and if they can keep the same one who worked so well in 2008 more the better.

Id love it if the Liberals can run against Bush/Cheney once again!

Generally, yeah, but Cheney is too entertaining, and he also hurts the GOP in a big way by putting himself out there so publicly.

He's kind of the gift that keeps on giving. I read an in-depth on Cheney's 30+ year career in gov't, and it's amazing how many times he has been wrong & totally screwed things up. The downside of that, of course, is the # of people who have suffered due to his influence, which fortunately, is clearly on the wane....
