He is in the Ecuadorian embassy in London and has been for the last four years. He can't travel as he is subject to an extradition order and would be immediately arrested if he left the embassy. Assange is accusing Ecuador of cutting off his internet access, but I wouldn't be surprised if some US agency or other threatened the Ecuadorians.
