right... it protects the unionized public schools from competition.
No, it makes certain that the funds are used for the purposes intended. If you want school vouchers put it in a separate bill.

Ok. But to save jobs at all levels, we should implement protectionist measures. It;s not communism. It's not naziism. It's the ideology that made america strong and self sufficient.
It would be created by demand, AHZ. While many people aren't on the bandwagon there are certainly enough to create a demand for the product, there are whole cities in places going "green". Either start smelling the coffee or be left irrelevant in the future. An entire industry created by government fiat? It's fucking dumb. sorry. these kinds of irrational bubbles are what got us here.
One interesting thing about Obama putting the tax cuts in from the outset is that at the end of the day the Democrats voted in favor of tax cuts and the Republicans voted against tax cuts. That's fucking strange.

What do you think of the bill?
Less than ideal and about to get lesser than ideal in the Senate. I plan to reserve judgment until the conference bill comes out. That's what matters.
Do you understand the difference between public and private? Do you know what sort of funds are paying for this bill? Are they public, or private dollars?
Wherever the demand comes from it is there, and it would benefit us to follow the trend.Demand propped up by government fiat. It's still irrational.
I choose to leave you irrelevant in your own delusions of efficacy.

Pogs are irrational, but those who were in the front of that curve made money.
While I don't think green technology will save the world it is certainly more responsible to put less into the air we breathe and the water we drink. The net benefit is not "irrational" except to those who maintain the only reason to do this would be global warming. It isn't.
Do you comprehend the fact that if we are paying $11k per student per year, that the PUBLIC money is best spent on the BEST schools... whether it is the public or private school does not matter. What matters is where the parents feel their child(ren) will get the best education for that money.
But no... you would rather there be no choice in the matter. Force the kids to go to the public school whether it is the best in the area or not. Fuck the poor kids.. why should they have a better educational opportunity? Must protect the teachers union.... must protect the teachers union... must protect the teachers union...

LMAO.... the same can be said for increasing funding to education on the whole...
One does not exclude the other. One can stay ahead of the curve and practice a bit of "America First".Protectionism is a better avenue for most americans. I think artificially propped up demand serviced by companies created by insiders who knew what was coming down the legal pipe is less effective, and is only more of the wallstreet bubble system of absurdity and abuse.

Yeah, refusing to create new production is stupid and irrational. And one option is completely stupid and irrational
And another is rarely discussed except in villifying terms
Historically, our government has concerned itself with the welfare of it's workers and adjusted trade terms accordingly. It's only recently that selling out workers has been considered business innovations.
Yeah, refusing to create new production is stupid and irrational.
Getting off the foreign oil teat = good both for economy and national security.
Less pollution = good, for economy and health
Sources of energy not reliant on outside grids = good.
The only thing irrational is, "Why have we waited so long?"
We've spent so much time arguing about whether "global warming" is coming that we lost all perspective and logic. Calling it "irrational" to act responsibly towards our own national interest is not only illogical, it's just plain flat stupid, and rejecting good reasons to do something because you don't like "global warming irrationality" is flat foolish. You again shoot yourself in your face to scratch an itch on your nose.
