Democrats and Republicans alike bashed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) after he launched his presidential campaign through a Twitter Spaces session that experienced several technical glitches and even a lengthy period of a complete audio loss Wednesday afternoon—despite Twitter CEO Elon Musk heavily hyping the Twitter announcement as a historic event for the platform.

President Joe Biden took a dig at DeSantis’ initial Twitter Space that failed, tweeting “This link works,” alongside a link to a donation page for his reelection campaign.

Former President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform to bash DeSantis’ technical issues, sharing a video alternating between clips of the Twitter Space’s feedback glitches and footage from his own campaign announcement.

Donald Trump Jr. made multiple tweets about DeSantis—including one that stated “#DeSaster” and another showing an edited clip of the former president tackling DeSantis.

Fox News joined in with a breaking news ticker on its site that read, “Want to actually see and hear Ron DeSantis?” referring viewers to a Fox News live interview with DeSantis that started shortly after 8 p.m. Eastern time.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) tweeted early on in the Twitter Space that she garnered more traffic in 2020, when she played hit video game Among Us with several popular streamers and had more than 400,000 viewers.

Nikki Fried, the head of Florida’s Democratic party, also posted several tweets bashing DeSantis, with one featuring a photo of a dejected-looking DeSantis and Musk standing in front of a crashed rocket with the caption: “Failure To Launch.”

Desantis is looking for the lead when Trump goes to jail. He seems unable to beat Daffy Donald head-to-head. But with Trump losing trials, the field will be open. He does not want to pass up the chance.

There is no trial coming up where a guilty verdict would result in jail time as much as you guys want that

Sorry

It sounds like this is on Musk, this is Twitter failure/sobatoge.

What, you are not kissing Musk's ass anymore?

I thought Musk was the NEW WHITE IDOL of the WHITE SUPREMACISTS- because he let Trump come back to TWITTLE TWATLAND?

OH! AREN'T YOU BEING A LITTLE OVER-EMOTIONAL HERE?

Lie down on the couch! Go ahead, LET IT OUT! Tell us how you really feel! Can I get you a cocktail or Miller Lite?

Desantis can’t beat Trump but he will likely get the VP nod

The next several weeks is going to be a woosey fight between RONNIE and DONNIE, and their little feelings for each other will be so hurt, these two will be threatening to shit on each other's graves! No Mam, the friendly reach-arounds are over for these two now!

The beasts will be trying to rip each other's ballsacks off now!

Blame twitter not DeSantis

Twitter is trying to ramp up a service a hundred thousand fold, without most of their staff. It would be a miracle if it worked.

Somewhere along the line, the alt right decided everything they do not understand is easy. "Why do hospitals need so many doctors? Why not just fire them all and have the cleaning staff do their jobs?" The reality is some very smart, hard working people work hard to keep the lights on. They are often paid more than the alt right posters, but less than they deserve. They do it as a service to our society.

OMG, that last sentence -- "Failure to Launch" -- she wins the Internets!

That provoked an interesting thought. What if the glitches were deliberate sabotage on the part of disgruntled Twitter techs? I love their excuse: "It was so popular that thousands tried to view it and crashed the servers." Yet as pointed out above, AOC managed a lot more viewers w/o crashing it in 2020. Of course, the employees weren't as disgruntled then, either. lol
