DeSantis signs law allowing tenured teachers to be fired for politics

I am telling you that casting a wide net when seeking knowledge is indispensable...the fact that you dont and argue against it is proof that your ignorance is willful.

So you are then telling us watching such as Tucker is indispensable to acquiring knowledge?

And no one can argue against undocumented generalizations nor innuendos, most just consider them useless and a waste of time

The broad net only serves to capture more carp. A targeted approach based on knowledge and critical thinking makes more sense. No wonder you are so fucking stupid.

Oh one of very low IQ, CRT isn't taught in grade school

of course not......but it is USED in grade school by teachers who were taught it in college........I would think you would have realized this by now......

tenure only protects the stupid, as no one wants to get rid of intelligent people.....

what is the significance of the Villiages as the venue? *asking*

It aint no talking point. I realize you will never watch FOX (and MSNBC is vile for my taste)
but Laura Ingram has been on the woke crap being shoved on kids by school boards
way before the virginia governors election

This was like Loudon and Fairfafx counties - super blue areas - that couldn't pull the election out for the Dem.. Parents went on the warpath for a reason

The Villages is a central Florida retirement community, gated community, that is beyond even characterizing it as heavily Republican, comparable to the upper West side of Manhattan for the Democrats. Point being it is a law on higher education, if not signed at an educational facilities at least in the State Capital, we’ll, unless your intent was to make it political, and all the talking point speeches would get standing ovations

And Laura Ingram is the exact same thing as Rachel Maddow, as Fox is MSNBC, both designed to specifically appeal to a targeted audience, tell them what they want to hear. Only time I ever watched her show, was the night of January 6th when she was making the case that the people inside the Capitol were not Trump supporters but if anything Antifa dressed up as Trump supporters

The Villages...

:rofl2::rofl2:

Where old white people go to do illegal drugs and catch venereal diseases. The Villages is a toxic waste dump.

The Villages is a super huge retirement community that voted heavily for Trump and the Repubs. Scott and Desantis were leading medical companies that looted Medicare and eldercare for millions. The Villagers do not care.

Do you understand that’s why professors were offered Tenure in the first place? So that they would be free from political pressure?

Reichwingers don't get that, but the rest of us do. Because either many of them have never gone to college, or didn't do very well, they blame the universities, liberals, tenure, the Deep (ed) State, and so on for their failure.

When you live in a great nation where people are actively trying to destroy access to knowledge, and punish those who provide it, you know you better be looking up real estate somewhere else, and taking your kids with you.

Wait a minute, professors are already reviewed by their colleagues, peers, and schools, plus their syllabus is right out in front, so now their not “transparent?”

“Accountably” appears more so how they conform to DeSantis’s wishes

I grew up among a bunch of scientists and professors. "Publish or perish" was the meme of your tenure back in those days. It meant you had to take advantage of sabbatical time and do research and write it up and have it peer-reviewed and published in actual credible scientific journals. There was a touch of politics involved since you would be wise to choose research in an area most likely to gain govt. funding for your university. In those days it was usually science, mathematics, or engineering.

DeSatan is, once again, pandering to the voting block that only made it through h.s. because they liked to fix cars or work at Walmart -- and most of all -- their masters.

And now half of those voters passed away

And a whole new group moved in and got senile

You don’t watch her huh

She has a great team of news investigators

She often discovers shit in her in-depth looks at issues that end up being the true nut of the story

Her team is awesome

People that don’t watch her often think those stupid things about her show

Because they don’t watch her

You are DEAD WRONG about Rachel Maddows show dude

There were also numerous arrests for voter fraud in that community.

DeSantis said he believes the way the system is currently run creates more of an "intellectual orthodoxy," making it more difficult for people with dissenting views to receive tenure. He also raised the concern that when professors get tenure their productivity declines in certain disciplines.

"It’s all about trying to make these institutions more in line with what the state’s priorities are and quite frankly the priorities of parents throughout the state of Florida. So what the bill today is going to do is it’s going to end this accreditation monopoly," DeSantis said.
Changes in college curriculum

SB 7044 will also change how college curriculum is developed. This bill will provide insight into the course catalogs including how courses are created and proposed.

"If you want to take a survey course on like the founding fathers it’s hard to find that, but they have all these other esoteric subjects that are really just very politicized courses, politicized majors, that certainly aren’t really doing very much to prepare people to be in the real world," DeSantis said.
