A week ago, DeSantis promised never to send Venezuelan and Cubans asylum seekers in Florida out-of-state, because that would be "incredibly cruel and inhumane."

And technically he kept his promise. He kidnapped Venezuelan asylum seekers in Texas, and sent them out-of-state, to an island far from any courts for them to apply for asylum.

The man is tricky, and we all know it.

Each of you bleeding heart lefties needs to open your homes to a half dozen of these illegals scattered from all over the world.

You fools promote defunding the police, no bail, and sanctuary cities, learn to live with the consequences of your stupid decisions. It is my fervent hope that a million more are shipped to every democrat run city in the country.
I wonder if in that little plastic bag with a new smartphone and other essentials, there was included a map directing them to Obama's third home.
We know they will be safe camping out on his spacious lawn because there are no guns in the area.

He didn't kidnap them, he just lied* to them and passed the cost to Floridians.

There's a possibility he violated the laws on human trafficking by doing this across state lines. This election year is getting more interesting. LOL

The whole concept of trolling involves only doing it online, where supposedly it does no harm. They are hurting people. If that is "God level trolling", then the Holocaust was beyond "God level trolling".

Let's be honest, this bullshit of ignoring Immigration Reform in favor of political grandstanding has been going on since Reagan. It came to a head again under AZ Governor Brewer and President Obama. Result? Not a fucking bit of change.

The Wall is stupid. Even GW Bush recognized the need for Immigration Reform in the shape of work visas.

Making it easier to immigrate to or temporarily work in the US along with making it a crime to hire or harbor illegal immigrants would go a long way toward a common sense solution, IMO.

He promised to take them to Boston, and used threats to get them to go. Then he took them somewhere else. If cab driver promises to take you home, but instead takes you to a cabin in the woods, chaining you to the bed... That is called kidnapping.

At least it is borderline kidnapping, to be added to the borderline rape that DeSantis has been involved with. He is scum.

If so, I agree, but we do know that the rising ocean climate change notion is bullshit so I will opt with the rich and famous and consider Martha's Vineyard to be a wonderful gift to our new voter friends. Far better than the alligators, snakes, oppressive heat, and humidity of Florida or the vast arid fields in Texas where they could be gored by a stray longhorn or killed by illegal border crossers.

Meh. I'm not a lawyer. Clearly DeSantis lied to them and he may be guilty of other crimes but I doubt kidnapping will be one of them.

Forcing people to go for two days without food and water is hurting people. Moving them to places where their families do not know where they are is hurting people. Moving people who want to get access to a court to an island far away from that court is hurting people.

Chicago setup reception centers to help out the asylum seekers. All the Republicans had to do was drop off the asylum seekers at those reception centers, and the asylum seekers could have gotten the help they needed. Instead, Republicans dropped them off at random places on the street, shouting at them in Spanish to scatter.

Why don't we take an elderly family member of yours, transport her to a random city without food and water for two days, and then tell her to run around... Add in that many of the asylum seekers did not speak English, and you have an idea of how they are hurting people.

Thankfully it is not happening in Winter, because dump people out on the streets of Chicago in the Winter, and some of them will definitely die.
