DeSantis now banning dictionaries

Retired special ed teacher... Not that a P.E. teacher might not get donations of books...there are many sports and health related books, you know...;)

You're still telling that tired old debunked fiction about being a retired "teacher," aren't you? Oh well, if it makes your actual "career" look special, knock yourself out. :rofl2:

Let me guess... They have the words "gay", "lesbian", "transgender", "black", "slavery", "penis", "vagina", "Native American", "reparation" and so on?

Bingo! Them kids don't need to learn no new words, the state will give them all they need to vote, curse libtards, and read the Bible.

Donate directly to the classrooms...I get book donations often...This is the first year I rejected a "classroom set" for the first time this year...I will offer to parents directly...no takers yet....They're welcome to pick them up from me if they wish to choose books on being inclusive, non-binary, and transgender for their little ones...but this very expensive set is not for the classroom...I guess they didn't sell...
PS...there is no Don't Say Gay Law...but you know that...

Aren't you a retired P.E. teacher? Why are people donating books to you?

They're not. This is just virtue-signaling.

My daughter is an actual special ed teacher. The only "donations" she gets are from us and her in-laws -- classroom supplies and such. Who is going to donate enough of one type of book for a whole classroom? Answer: no one.

"The Gender Cool Bundle", btw... Multiples...donated... they're safely boxed for now...I don't throw away any book... Would be valuable for a college project, perhaps....

The Rotary Club(the most boring organization on earth) has been donating dictionaries(the most boring book on earth) to Sarasota School District(the most boring school district) for 15 years. They donate about 300 books a year.

DeSantis' Don't Say Gay Law has made such donations impossible this year.

The law says.
1. It bans instruction or classroom discussion about LGBTQ issues for kindergarten through third grade. For older students, discussion about gay and transgender issues has to be “age appropriate or developmentally appropriate.”

Sounds like a pretty good law to me!

2. It empowers parents to sue the school district over teachings they don’t like.

Again sounds like a sane law to me.

3. It requires schools to tell parents when their child receives mental health services.

Would you want your child treated by a doctor without your knowledge?

Sorry sport the law is a sound one every parent should support!

I don't agree with suing the school district over things you don't like. Looks like a dream come true though for trial lawyers.
