DeSantis, "Florida is where ESG goes to die"

There was not even one "if" in my post you quoted before posting this nonsense.

Bragg's memo made it clear that there were crimes (even violent ones) that he simply will not prosecute. Since his office does nothing about a crime they are not reporting that they did nothing about that crime, they simply do not report it at all. His office is mandated to report crimes that come through his office, not ones that do not, even if the reason they do not is because he simply will not do anything about it.

But hey, you can read about it in this opinion piece written by a victim published in the NY Post:

https://nypost.com/2023/04/02/what-about-new-yorks-victims-alvin-bragg/

Didn’t I specify not “rhetoric?” A memo isn’t actuality, especially when a lot of it has been reversed, and of course you do realize the NYP is Murdoch, the same Murdoch who just recently paid off a quarter of a billion dollar lawsuit for lying, say a lot about “opinion” pieces offered in his vehicles

“REPUBLICANS’ BIG RICH-CITY PROBLEM”

They can call them “shitholes,” and any of the other cliches Fox has sold them, but America needs those urban centers, they are where America’s energy and productivity comes from, not gated villages, and currently, the right is losing any influence in the majority of those areas

And if you swallow Fox’s “shithole” propaganda, explain why your Messiah still owns a major residence there and your main oracle picked it for their national headquarters

"Waaaaaaaa they called my sewer a shithole"

And yet, the man told you there were crimes he would not prosecute. At this point you keep repeating your simplistic attempt to "defend" against the actual policy as stated by the person himself.

At this time you have made it clear you are wrestling with your own mental demons, I don't need to add to your troubles. When the man says he won't prosecute, I believe him.

“Among the crimes Bragg said his office would not prosecute: marijuana misdemeanors, including selling more than three ounces; not paying public transportation fare; trespassing except a fourth degree stalking charge, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration in certain cases, and prostitution.”

DeSantis signed a landmark bill designed to protect Floridians from the corporatist environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) movement.

Specifically, the new law,

stops financial institutions from discriminating against customers for their religious, political, or social beliefs--like owning a firearm, securing the border, our increasing our energy independence.

bans the financial sector from considering so called 'Social Credit Scores' in banking and lending practices aimed to prevent Floridians from obtaining financial services like loans, lines of credit, and bank accounts.

blocks the use of ESG in all investment decisions at the state and local level, ensuring that only financial factors are considered to maximize the return on investment, protecting retirees and taxpayers alike.

prohibits state and local governments, from using ESG as part of the procurement and contracting process.

eliminates consideration of ESG factors by state and local governments when issuing bonds.

In general, ESG seeks to replace shareholder capitalism with what is known as "stakeholder" capitalism.

Under "shareholder" capitalism, a company's #1 priority is to produce high-quality goods and services that customers want at the most affordable price. This is called profit motive, and its the essence of capitalism.

Under "stakeholder" capitalism, companies oblige the interests of all "stakeholders," such as investors, owners, employees, vendors, customers, and the general public at large. According to the tenets of stakeholder capitalism, profit is not a company's primary concern, social justice advocacy is paramount.

ps: The reason why thousands of people are fleeing crime ridden liberal hellspots like N.Y.C. et al to move to Florida isn't just because of the crime per say, but because many businesses have been forced to close because of the crime and the looting that has devastated their business and their livelihoods, but also because they find that their capitalist endeavors are being snuffed out by this ESG stakeholder capitalism.

A great book explaining the devastating affect of stakeholder capitalism verse the profit making shareholder capitalism can be seen by reading the highly intelligent book by Vivek Ramaswamy called "Woke INC."

Awesome. I’m curious to see how he hopes to win the Republican nomination against Trump by attacking big business in America.

Under "shareholder" capitalism

Under REAL shareholder capitalism, a company follows the desires of the shareholders. That is where we get into governance, the G of ESG. DeSantis' hatred of letting people control the company they supposedly own is very telling.

Under REAL capitalism corporations endeavor to be good citizens, to not be forces of EVIL.

Good, RSG is just corporate fascism

Well, no, Walter, companies have a fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders, not to the far left loons like you who put freaks ahead of profit…Walter.

See Budweiser, Walter.

companies have a fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders

They have a fiduciary responsibility to represent, and to put the interests of stockholders first. Instead, they put their own interests first, and ignore the governance of the stockholders.

Some do and those that do often end up in prison or out of a job. This is what will most likely happen with Rupert, et al.
