Because it's annoying how that was used by conservatives. They all did the same thing you did - hey, it's his middle name...what's the big deal? Yet no one ever mentioned Clinton's middle name, or Gore's.
The attempt to reinforce that he was "other," that he was "probably a Muslim," that he shared a name w/ a brutal Middle Eastern dictator, etc. - was obvious. That's why his middle name was used. I mean, do you think you were fooling people about that intent?

President Obama was a gentleman and all the racist nutters spent his whole presidency lying about him and trying to prevent his governing. Trump is a fat, vain, spoilt and dirty-minded low-life who acts and talks like a hugely senile and incompetent Hitler. Since it seems so difficult to get through to the sub-humans who support him, it seems easiest to keep pointing this resemblance out, hoping they may have heard of Hitler out in Hicksville.
