Dems to lose Senate.

http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/fivethirtyeight-senate-forecast/

This is Scary, I hope something changes before November.

it won't be much worse than having an obstructionist filibustering republican minority like they do now.... they won't have enough to stop democrats from using the filibuster against them, and they won't have the ability to override a presidential veto, so I really wouldn't worry too much about it for now.... Hillary will have long coattails in '16.

So you are a fan of the filibuster again?

a fan? not at all.... but laws are like sausages.... it's not pretty watching them get made. If republicans were at all concerned about having the filibuster misused against them, perhaps they should have been a bit more prudent when they misused it against the democrats, doncha think?

After the Republicans "defeet" the Demos to regain the Senate in November, The ruling Republicans will need to use the "Nuclear Option" to shut down any Demo attemts to Filibuster just like the now Senate Majority Leader Hairy Reed has threatened to do. What is good for the Goose is good for the gander, and I cannot wait for the Republicans to start goosing the Demos. President Obama will therefore become a "Do-Nothing" President.....................
..........."The nuclear or constitutional option, is a parliamentary procedure that allows the U.S. Senate to override a rule or precedent by majority vote. The presiding officer of the United States Senate rules that the validity of a Senate rule or precedent is a constitutional question. He immediately puts the issue to the full Senate, which decides by majority vote. The procedure thus allows the Senate to decide any issue by majority vote, even though the rules of the Senate specify that ending a filibuster requires the consent of 60 senators (out of 100) for legislation, 67 for amending a Senate rule. The name is an analogy to nuclear weapons being the most extreme option in warfare"..........................

the good part is that, even with the house AND the senate, they won't be able to override an Obama veto, so the damage they can do will be limited.

It can only get worse for Democrats. So much for that Republican issue eh Counselor?

But not to worry; I'm sure the Democrats willful out all the stops and find plenty of mud to sling Republicans way in a desperate bid to avoid debating substance. The media will also do all they can by digging through trash cans to find any little shred of damaging personal info to hurl at Repubs.

And heck, the Imperial President has nearly re-written Obamacare to try to delay as much of the terrible effects of his own law at least until after the November elections.

Never underestimate the low life political mudslingers of the Democrat Party.

LMAO; definately too stupid for prime time.

Good point, and with all the attacks and rhetoric they used when Reid ended the filibuster for judicial appointments, they will have a hard time backtracking, although I don't put it past them.

It is not the damage that the Republicans can do, butt it will be the stoppage of any new immigration reform bills being passed by Demos. Reagan already passed an immigration reform bill in 1986, I believe, and it had amnesty in it, no mas, all you desperate Demos want, are moore Demo votes, you are not really interested in the Mexican illegal's life. The Republicans might be willing to give illegal aliens already here work permits, that is, if they have no criminal records. After we get back on top like we should be and are suppoded to be, the chickens will come home to roost for the Demos. There are some Liberal views that I could/would subscribe to, but I cannot condone all the cheating that goes on with Liberals, they will do anything, including illegal stuff to achieve their goals. If President Obama tries to overuse his Executive authority, then Impeachment proceedings may come to fruition. The IRS Scandal, BenghaziGate, The Spying on US, Fast and Furious, etc etc will frame any Impeachment proceedings that a Republican controlled House and Senate may take up. One thing that I personally want passed is to stop "Affirmative Action"...no mas...Obama won the Presidency, so it is not needed no mo.

The pendulum does have to swing, we have made HUGE liberal advances in the last 5.5 years. I would rather the pendulum swing in the midterms than in a presidential year.

Maybe if the R's get big advances this November it will mean we will ride the backswing in '16.

It would be great if President Clinton could have a Democratically Controlled House and Senate her first two years.

I think her coattails will be as long as a bridal train.

Why? (since I know tone can be hard to deduct I'm not asking that in a condescending or confrontational way. I'm curious what makes you think she'll have the same type appeal as candidate Obama did in '08.)

Precisely!

All this hand wringing is sort of amusing...I don't think the situation as quite as dire as Mr Silver makes it out to be.

But then, sometimes a little fear can be a good motivator, and it will help get the masses out to the polls this November.

LMAO; the bar has been set very low by Democrats Counselor. Have fun whining about it when judicial appointments by Republicans cannot be filibustered by Democrats thanks to the partisan antics of Dirty Harry Reid. The irony is delicious. Let us hope and pray for a landslide in November.
