Dems don’t allow Sexual Harrassment!

We can only wait and demand that every only of those using that slush fund is outed....and you bet the farm it will include both Democrats and Republicans....
It might even make a noticeable dent in the Washington swamp.....

That could be problematic. Many times settlements include confidentiality agreements that should not be breached. This practice is widespread and not limited to government.

When proof positive is shown to the public, they don't have a choice in the matter....

It's a little silly to try to make too much of that photo. That photo by itself isn't too much - it's the rest of the accusations that are much more incriminating.

That 'confidently agreement' crap is akin to allowing aiding and abetting a crime become legal....

It is not. No wrongdoing or admission of fault should be inferred by the mere fact that a settlement agreement was reached. These are not criminal matters.

I think most everyone knows accusations are still only accusations.....we all know what the meaning of 'alleged' is....and those words don't make you guilty of anything....

According to Conservative conventional wisdom, liberal men cannot sexually harass because their women cut their nuts off.

I agree w/ that, and I do think it's important that we don't rush to judgment.

But, that doesn't mean we need a court conviction to make a reasonable assumption. There are some cases where most agree things have hit a critical mass - Cosby, Weinstein, etc. You said #'s don't matter, but they are part of the equation.

Sexual harassment is a crime....
and I did use the word 'akin' in my analogy....

But it would be just as valid to say a women could be shaking down a public figure with false accusations for money....like you say, No wrongdoing or admission of fault should be inferred by the mere fact that a settlement agreement was reached.....we just can't be sure what happened.....

I agree with that, and #'s certainly matter to a public that just don't know for sure anything factual....public opinion goes a long way in politics....

A crime entails criminal prosecution. Settlements are a civil matter, and around 97% of civil cases never go to trial. It is usually the preference of all parties to reach an settlement which often involves a mutually-binding non-disclosure agreement. Breach of such an agreement is actionable. Ask Gloria Allred what happens.

Feelings. Emotions. Hysteria.

Weren't those factors in with hunts and the Spanish Inquisition?

I hope as a society we have moved past that kind of thing. Our legal system has.

I'm sure that you feel that way, little Thingy. The ladies on The View seem to agree, don't they? But only if the accused is someone they don't like, apparently.

Moore has contradicted himself, as well, which speaks to his credibility.

NOVA citing Duke lax is a bad example. That was one accuser, and one alleged incident.
That ONE accuser nearly brought the Duke team down......it was touch and go there for awhile.....

Rev. Al's accuser made headlines for awhile before that was debunked too.....

and how many young male college students lives were screwed up because of one accuser....its a dangerous thing for society....

Getting accused of wrongdoings that are 40 years old puts one in a tenuous position.....

Why do you keep denying what is common knowledge of issues that happened over 20 years.....did you have you head up your ass in the 1990's....

I know people claim she threw the accusers under the bus, but I dont think its true. You people lie about her often.

Yeah, I agree.....it is a civil matter and not a crime that can send you to prison. I should have make that clear in my post....and a settlement is a contract between the parties involved....
