I don't think you want to explore Biblical teachings honestly, because as bad as you think Mohammad is, people like Moses are far worse -- Moses, who after descending from Mount Sinai, ordered the Israelites to slaughter the Canaanites and take their women and children for sex slaves. Abraham and his progeny engaged in rampant incest. If you're looking for someone to apologize for Biblical figures and their immorality, look elsewhere.
By the way, Muslims don't worship Mohammad. He is a prophet, similar to Jesus and Moses to the Muslims. In fact, IIRC, Jesus is mentioned favorably in the Qu'ran more than Mohammad himself. It's that Mohammad is the final prophet and delivers the final teachings to the Muslims.
