Vote? The piano was going through the floor in the White House during Truman's time. He moved out of the Whitehouse and it was rebuilt with extreme attention paid to history. The War of 1812 caused a huge rebuild. But after that, no big changes. The presidents respected the White house and did what essentially were decorations. None of them would have thought about tearing out the east wing for a ballroom.
This is not like any other White house construction in history. Do not pretend this is normal. It sure as hell is not.
Trump said he loved the Whitehouse and his vanity ballroom would not damage the building. He said it was separated.
Do you recall when he told the people he was doing this? Be honest. This is horrible.
