Demography as destiny for Democrats?

Yeah but all those spics are supposed to put the democrat party into a permanent majority. Was supposed to happen this time around. Ask our resident angry negro BAC. He will tell you

#SPICPOWER

If you listen to the Democrats who are in the trenches right not - the ones who are already planning & strategizing for '18 and '20 - they're way out ahead of this. They're not talking about demographics. They're talking about message - reclaiming the mantle of "party of the middle class," focusing on jobs, healthcare, education.

I really just kind of laugh when righties look at the protests & try to imply that everything on the left is about tearing things down right now. You can chew gum & walk at the same time. There is a lot of anti-Trump sentiment and action out there, but there is already a strong grassroots movement building to win back state houses & Congress.

They are currently getting crushed in the middle of the country. A million people can rally in SF but that's not going to do a lot come Election Day for other states.

Dems are probably never going to win the true middle. They have to win back the rust belt & Florida, and build from there.

But the protests are inconsequential. Democrats haven't had the kind of energy they do now in years. I'd say it's even more than it was in '08, based on what I've seen and read. Local party leaders in basically every region are already inundated w/ potential candidates for local and national races.

What have you really seen? What CNN shows you?

As a matter of fact, one of the stories I saw was on CNN (that was the national story). I saw separate stories on VA and NC in the print media - I think those were the Washington Post.

Let me guess: you're all in w/ Trump that everything out of those outlets is "fake news," right? That they are just making this stuff up?

LOL

Did I say that?

Those who can do, those who can't teach. Thus conservatives work in industry and liberals in education.
Oh sure...everyone who works for a living is a conservative and all liberals are teachers. How cliche' but the hard truth is conservatives run when their ideas are challenged and hide behind authority. If Universities are liberal it is by default because conservatives would rather whine and complain then defend their ideas in the market place of ideas. If you advance any idea...and I mean any idea...in academia it will be challenged and you will be required to defend it. What is so horrible about that that it offends conservatives that they run away like cry babies? Do you think liberal ideas go unchallenged in academia? They aren't because all ideas are challenged and have to be defended in academia cause that is how you learn how to think and it matters not one wit if you are conservative or liberal.

The truth is that conservatives have abandoned the battlefield of ideas in favor of conformity and orthodoxy.

In other words quit whining and put up or shut up.

Actually Universities are quite the opposite of what you portray above. When I was young we heard Universities were this place to challenge yourself and to be open to critical debate and new ideas. Not today. There is liberal intimidation of those who do not agree with the given orthodoxy. It's why conservative voices on campuses are silenced.

Here's a former provost from Stanford speaking about it. I'm not whining, I'm pointing out what is actually happening.
