I also notice that you aren't touching the fact that two Senators with lifetime ACU ratings of 94 sponsored the Senate version of this bill and that this billed passed the Senate by unanimous consent back in 2005.

I'm not sure what you want me to say? That's probably why they are at 94 instead of 100, because they support the odd idea that Liberals happen to like. You'd be hard pressed to find any Repubs that have not voted with the Dems a few times. On the whole and for this vote, more Conservative Repubs would be voting against it.

I'd prefer that you just acknowledge that you were wrong. That lots of Republicans support this bill. That two very conservative Senators sponsored this bill. That the bill passed the Republican controlled Senate in 2005 by unanimous consent.

I know it kind of undercuts your original post, but acknowledging the facts would be a good start.
