If Biden hadn't run initially, and the Dem had a chance to campaign for a year, and IF there was no inflation - I think it's close to 100% that Trump would have lost.

Inflation was the biggie. And that claim is substantiated by exit polls and interviews, as well as decades of American history when people voted change due to pain in their own finances.

This was no sea change, or hearty endorsement of MAGA. I'd guess that the voters in the middle - the ones who tilted this election - have both hope & trepidation right now.

There's no control of prices occurring, dude.... It's about policies that allow energy companies to do their jobs. Increased supply (beyond any increase in demand) = lower prices.

Basically my feeling is anyone who sat it out has no right to complain or say anything negative about what happened. Sitting it out and allowing a fascist and nazi-sympathizer felon to be our President seems to me to be an implicit support for whatever happens.

Not sure what the problem was. The other poster, Hume, decided that Kamala was a terrible candidate (as many did) so, if I understood their posts correctly, they didn't vote either way. I just want to make sure that those who DIDN'T vote one way or the other have ZERO right to complain about whatever happens.

Isn't that fair?

People should stand for something but be willing to act strategically when there is no other option. Standing on principle without consideration for the unintended consequences of that choice is not how a rational mind works.
