And then when you start to look at the historical costs of electricity in those countries we don't see a large increase in prices as solar and wind are added.

For Denmark, the prices have stayed steady until we see a drop during Covid, and then a spike in prices after Covid. The only reason for the spike is that Denmark had to add back in fossil fuels. That would seem to show that renewables are cheaper and fossil fuels are more expensive.
They're not. Denmark's electricity costs per KWH rose dramatically after adopting wind and solar, just as other country's have. They then stay elevated. California's cost per KWH has risen as more wind and solar were adopted. It's inevitable given the need to duplicate generation and the unreliability of those two sources.
