I just wish there was some way to get a good bead on the electorate.
Democrats were riding the WuFlu to victory. As little as six weeks ago that was my impression at least. But the winds have changed. Democrats have been forced to address the rioting in democrat cities and are forced to twist themselves into pretzels to pin it on Trump.
It was easier with COVID because there’s a lot more pieces to the puzzle and so it’s easier to gas light with it. The rioting has two moving parts: BLM and Democrats: and Democrats are trying anything to put the Trump bolt into the square hole. Even a hammer won’t make that happen.
Then the RNC turned out to be a diverse affair. Why did it take so long for Republicans to figure that out? Why did it take a ‘racist’ party leader to attract so many good minority/conservative speakers to a convention?
It puts democrats on the spot: it’s actually difficult to be critical of the speakers without going the Uncle Tom route—which is a racist slur that insults blacks. Agreeing with what they say is obviously off the table, so democrats are forced to cross their fingers and hope blacks aren’t watching or listening.
I get the sense a significant number are.
I know that the narrative was that Trump was losing to the WuFlu. But, I never believed it. I never believed the shitty polls. Don't get me wrong, Trump did take a bit of a hit, but he was never at risk of losing election because of Wu Flu.
The democrat party is out of ideas. It has been out of ideas for years. The mistake the democrats made goes back about 15 years when they bought into the whole narrative of "demographics is destiny". They believed that illegal immigrants were their new meal ticket. From a numbers perspective, the analysis was right, but the democrats like many children couldn't wait. They jumped the gun. They showed their hand too soon.
I have been saying for years that the republican party should make a play for black voters, but they listened to the belt way consultants like George Conway, Steve Schmidt and Rick Wilson who said "you can't do it". Trump's 2020 re-election came when he uttered those words "what do you have to lose". And what sealed the deal for him was that unlike democrats when Trump got into office he did things that tangibly impacted the black community. He pushed opportunity zones, funded historically black colleges, and he pushed prison reform. Conservatives should get behind these things because one of the biggest issues facing society is a lack of fathers in the home. They can't be in the home if they are in prison. I am not saying we be soft on crime, but some of these sentences are egregious. We should also back people getting their voting rights back once they have served their time. There is no legitimate reason to oppose it.
There is an opportunity for the Republican Party to make serious in-roads with black voters. And if they do, the democrat party will be finished.

I believe that is part of the reason BLMTIFA have been unleashed by the democrat party as their modern day KKK. They are designed to keep blacks in their place. Democrats know that if Trump doubles his vote with blacks they can't win. They can't even cheat and win (which is why they are desperately pushing for mail in ballots)
The democrat party is a dying party. We have an opportunity to stick a stake in its heart. We also have an opportunity to remake the Republican Party into what it was supposed to be before it was co-opted by the chamber of commerce and their gutting of middle class jobs at the alter of their version of "free trade" like the Eagles, Cawackos and Flash's of the world love. Those assholes will be cast in the dustbin as well. Eventually they will cast their lot with the democrat party. It is just a matter of time.
