Democrats need an autopsy to figure out why 74 million Americans voted against them

It is hard to believe 74 million people voted for an incompetent orange clown?:dunno:

In spring 2013, after their defeat in the 2012 presidential election, the Republicans conducted an autopsy on their party to determine how things went wrong. There were recommendations for tactical and organizational changes, but the most important of them involved a call for outreach to groups of Americans who had either been shunned by the GOP or been considered unlikely recruits to the ranks of their voters: African Americans, Latinos and members of the LGBT community. In one of the more ironic developments in modern American political history, three years later, Republican primary election voters chose a man who espoused views that were the very antithesis of those recommendations.

The paradoxical result of the inquest should not be read as proof of that such exercises are useless. In truth, there is no reason why such autopsies should be conducted only by the losers. Winners such as 2020 Democrats would be well-advised to conduct one of their own about why 74 million Americans voted against them and why they lost strength in the House of Representatives.

I'll save the good doctor his time. Republicans are stupid and were poisoned by Fox and Limbaugh and their churches
and all of that shit. They are dumb ass yokels who wouldn't feel their self interest if you stapled it to their cocks.

Pathetic losers. All 70 plus million of them. Dumb as fuck except the .001 percent who just want a tax cut and don't give a flying fuck
about anything else. Those scum are simply greedy.

Thankfully the attempted poisoning of America through its dumbest lowliest scumbags did not kill us all.

Ken, you've got a good point, it would be very beneficial for the Democrats to know why people vote for an economical, and political policy that is detrimental to themselves.

I agree an analysis would be helpful but I wouldn't call it that.

The Democratic party is alive and well.

I would expect the results of an inquiry would reveal that Trump essentially captured the hate vote.

Trump offered haters hope that those they hate would be vanquished.

The hate vote is prevalent because the right wing hate media is very profitable. It plays into human emotion. Advertisers figured out a long time ago that messages which stir the emotions are very effective at selling product. Right wing programming is designed to get the viewers / listeners / readers all stirred up, which causes them to become more susceptible to marketing messages.

For instance: An American is riding down the road in his car. He turns on the radio. On one station there is a very involved in-depth talk program detailing many layers of some intricate corruption scheme. Since the crime is complicated, so is the coverage. It requires a listener to pay attention for an extended period of time to absorb the set-up facts needed to explain the crime. It would be enough to put a lot of people to sleep. If this listener tunes in to Rush Limbaugh he gets animated voices calling people attention-getting names, and laying out very troubling conspiracy theories that fit into a sound-byte.

The poor driver just wants to be entertained. Which one ya think he's gonna tune in to?

Add to that, if the listener is from a rural area where all the talk is that liberals are bad and 'real men' vote for Republicans, he wouldn't be caught dead at a stoplight listening to the wrong programming. He's gonna listen to what all his friends and neighbors are listening to. And that would be Rush. Or similar.

Rush, and similar programmers, are in competition with one another to out-shock their followers with the most extreme-sounding programming. There is BIG MONEY to be made doing so.

THAT is what conscientious caring Democrats are up against.

Just because Trump has fallen does not mean this problem is going away.

Somebody else is going to take his place.

Not concerned yet?

Ivanka wants to do it.

And she is beginning to take preparatory steps...

SHOWED UP IN PERSON W/IDs, TO VOTE FOR HIM ,UNLIKE THE MILLIONS OF UNVETTED, UNVERIFIED, BOGUS "MAIL-IN" BALLOTS USED TO STEAL THE ELECTION, AFTER ARTICLE II VIIOLATIONS MADE IT POSSIBLE.

Democrats looked 'elitist' and lost the Working Class Vote with Hillary. e.g. Telling Coal Miners we're going to eliminate your Jobs. Along with adopting the Saudi Plan of importing Third World Labor to do the Work.

Biden has reassured the Working Class he is on their side. Also, he's assured the Religious Community that he's one of them.
