Look Bud, I live in the bluest state in the union. I personaly knew Ted. My parents have a painting he did of his sailboat, which he painted and gave them.

You CANNOT eliminate ilegal guns, period. It can't be done. I can make guns in my machine shop. Billy can make them from hardware store parts. Children in cities can make them from scrap metal found in alleys.

Yes, we should eliminate gun show loopholes. Existing laws should be properly enforced. Most cases involving mass shootings involve individuals with major mental health issues which have been ignored by those who should have intervened. What say you to that? Yesterday a man burned his house down with five of his children inside and himself. Just before that, a mother drove into a river, killing 4. No gun needed to slaughter the defenseless.

Harris was following the laws of Florida, so technicaly no, he didn't lose because of her.

Doubtless the corruption on the part of the GOP was a major influence, yet I persist in claiming that Gore would have won, were americans not in fear of his gun controll agenda.

You think the welfare/nanny state doesn't cost anything and we've in debt up to our eyeballs.....?

I admit, that there are reasons to for the government to spend and indeed, overspend......war,...promote business, ....necessary infrastructure to promote progress....
as an example....we have a medicare/medicaid program that is of right now unsustainable....and the Dems want to add 50 million more people to roles....does that made sense to you ?

For more than 200 years, in the United States, citizens HAVE enjoyed the CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT for own firearms.....THE CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT....

THAT is the only relevant input needed on the issue.....

I know what a gun show is. I just got back from one. What I don't understand is the 'loophole'. Is it that you can supposedly buy guns without a background check? Because I can do that anywhere. It's a private sale, and non dealers are not legally allowed to perform background checks at any rate.
 
There is no such thing as a 'private dealer'. If you are engaged in the business of selling guns, you must have a license. If you wish to sell off part of your collection for whatever reason, it is legal so long as the seller has no reasonable suspicion that the purchaser would be unable to pass a background check. This can take place at a gun show or at my house or at the parking lot of a bar. That's a private transaction. No different than selling a used car.
 
Leftists can never give up on its war on guns. An armed citizenry will never be quite as submissive as its unarmed counterpart, which means the people are still too liberated for the left's taste.

The only thing that doesn't make sense is the lack of a single payer, government medical system. The cost of medical care in every country with government medical costs between 1/3 to 1/2 less. No exception.

The current problem lies with trying to cover everyone while certain factions insist on picking the pockets of the ill, making money off the sick and dying. Large and small countries. Rich and poor. Capitalist. Socialist. Communist. Every country, no exception, has experienced savings and the vast majority of citizens in those countries insist on keeping their government medical.

Stop listening to the lies and do some research.
