Democrats in trouble?

Of course he's going to be confirmed.

Wealthy, racist, rapist, white males are in charge of the country and there's nothing we can do about it.

It's going to get worse.

It was always odd to me that NeverTrumpers Cawacko and Threedee really didn’t jump in the fray

I suspect their hatred for Trump is that great they would stand by and watch a good man be destroyed

They are really no better than leftists

Has there ever been a rapist you didn't support? How many women have you raped yourself, like your God Trump? Your temple of evil will fall down, justice will prevail.

Who are they?

The OP is about Dems

The Republicans were more laid back about this election and they are now angry.

So, their is still a month to go.

We have two broad scenarios ahead of us. Kavanaugh is confirmed or he is not. It seems to me the Republican anger is likely to subside if Kavanaugh is confirmed and the Democratic anger will be stoked that one who many believe to be a serial abuser of woman will be on the Court. For political reasons I suspect the Democrats hope he is not confirmed, yet still the candidates in the Conservative States will be forced to take a side.

My net perspective is that at this point Kavanaugh is helping the Republicans.

I feel fairly certain the Republicans will gain one or two seats in the Senate and lose about 20 in the House. That is as it stands today, but the ground is shifting and who knows where we will stand in November.

in terms of the house they are showing quite a bit of pickup

denying the likely reality wont make things easier on yourself. it sucks but that's the way it is. Yes, republicans can keep the house, but their chances of doing that are the same as the dems taking the senate.

I agree with that.

But, the probabilities are based on the assumption that the polls are accurate. They may be accurate—but I would hate to have a bunch of money in the game if I was relying on the accuracy of the polls.

So what is your prediction? What constitutes a GOP wave?

highly unlikely GOP has a "wave" election on an off year for them.

what a good result for the GOP is would be holding the senate. we can still appoint judges and gridlock from the house isn't the worst thing in the world.

a great result would be losing seats in the house but still having control

If the Dems don't take the House, that would be huge for the GOP. I sort of cringe thinking about Trump's gloat-fest if that happened, but the lack of checks on his power would be worse.

LOL ....

That checks and balance thing truly eludes you doesn't it?

Personally, I don't like one party in power either way. I've been consistent on this.

We always see too far of a lurch left or right, depending on who it is. The country is more center; I'm more center.

What does that have to do with checks and balances?

Hell Trump can't even get his cabinet confirmed after nearly 2 years and your worried about checks and balances ....

That makes no sense.

I think they will certainly use that as an excuse, among other things, about why they lose again so badly next month.

But, the truth of the matter may be that no one was going to vote for the anti-American, anti-white, party of hate and intolerance anyway.

When was the last time more Americans didn't vote Democrat in a national election?
