Democrats Going on Offense for Voting Rights

"After retaining most of the governor’s offices they hold and capturing the legislatures in Michigan and Minnesota, Democrats are putting forward a long list of proposals to expand voting access."

At the same time, "(i)n Texas and Ohio, along with other places, Republicans are weighing additional restrictions on voting when they convene in the new year."

Ever since Trump, if not before, one political party in this country stands up for democracy and one party doesn't.

since every US citizen already has the right to vote, who are you planning to expand it to?......

Read the article, sweetie pie, dont be so fucking lazy.

I didn't see anything in the article that explains who is being denied an opportunity to vote......I thought perhaps Marty could fill in the blanks.....feel free to answer for him if you are able........

since you can't answer, it appears you don't understand it.....

An ignorant observation is answered by noting its ignorance. The post noted yours. Since you want it explained, your ignorance was two fold. Every citizen does not have "the right to vote"; only citizens who meet voting age requirements or have not had their voting rights suspended do. The point of the Times story, however, is about voting "access" not rights as such but rights have been diminished by limitations on access and by gerrymandering. If you are as ill informed on voting access as you were on rights the article should help and google will help more.

(D)s have always stood up for the people and the Constitution. It has always been (R)s who are into repression, pressure to conform, and fear of progress and change.

Such is the joyless state of The Republican Party as they practice the art of hurting people to help themselves.

so in conclusion, no one who has a right to vote is being barred from voting......thanks......

Michigan and other states are removing far-right dishonest Repub gerrymandering and giving it to nonpolitical organizations to provide fair districts. That offends Reds because Repugs have deliberately manipulated gerrymandering putting the Dem majority under Repub powers for decades. Fairness must be avoided by Reds.

Your ignorance is appalling, Marty.

Do you think eight (8) year olds should vote, Marty?

You're dimwitted more than ignorant, Earl, also envious. If you thought I was ignorant, let alone appallingly so, you wouldn't follow me around like a dog, lobbing groans at every post.

Your posts are so groan-able, Marty.

I do believe you are ignorant because you post ignorant posts, Marty.
