Democrats began pushing on Wednesday for the most substantial expansion of voting rights in a half-century, laying the groundwork in the Senate for what would be a fundamental change to the ways voters get to the polls and elections are run.

At a contentious hearing on Capitol Hill, Democratic leaders made a passionate case for a bill that would mandate automatic voter registration nationwide, expand early and mail-in voting, end gerrymandering that skews congressional districts for maximum partisan advantage and curb the influence of money in politics.

This is a good thing, considering Putin's un American repukes are pushing their uncivilized, barbaric and un American war efforts to destroy U.S. Constitutional, Democracy, and the common decency of civilization. This in order to push humanity into a barbaric abyss that is incapable of co existing in a civilized society. This also includes against everyone and regardless of who they are or how so-called privileged they think they are because repukes despise America including everyone it in as demonstrated and that goes for their devoted ass kissers. Also like filibustering, it appears gerrymandering as a corrupt tool used by repukes to sabotage elections in there un American favor against a majority is not noted anywhere within the 14th Amendment as in U.S. Constitutional law. Yet the 14th Amenment does declare that as follows: Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws." In my opinion and no matter what some seditious court has to say, gerrymandering is un Constitutional for the above reason at not being mentioned within the U.S. Constitution.

That's not what they're doing. What they're doing is eliminating local control of voting precincts.
