It is Congress who needs to reduce it, but they refuse to do so.
The USA's annual GDP is around $21T. The USA is almost $31T dollars in debt. It costs almost $600B a year to just maintain that debt. And they are calling for increased spending? Regardless of what it will do to inflation, what kind of lunacy is this? The only solutions to this problem are to 1) decrease spending or 2) increase taxes. The Democrats have obviously chosen Option 2.Vote accordingly.
This is what you get when voters are duped into believing the lies and bullshit that erupt from the PHONY media and the DNC. Remember the sound bites; the great uniter. Uncle Joe. Restoring normalcy.

There were months that we did run a surplus and the deficits is far below the level it was when the last guy left office.
Right, and that balanced budget was submitted by Clinton and it was balanced largely because of the healthy economy (not cutting spending). That balanced budget only lasted until Bush was elected.
The debt continued to grow even under that balanced budget.
Blaming the nation's problems on the media and social media is just a futile attempt to place the blame elsewhere. We don't know how to solve most problems.
