Democrats are openly rooting for another Trump presidential bid

I will support Liz Cheney as an independent candidate if Trump is the GOP nominee?!!

CNN —
If, as expected, Donald Trump announces tonight that he is running for president for a third time, one unlikely group will be cheering him on: Democrats.

“As an American, the idea of another Trump campaign and all of his lies and divisiveness and his efforts to undermine American democracy is an absolute horror show,” Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, an independent who caucuses with the Democrats, told The New York Times. “On the other hand, I got to say that as a politician who wants to see that no Republican is elected to the White House in 2024, from that perspective, his candidacy is probably a good thing.”

“I think we would all like Donald Trump to run again,” Terry McAuliffe, the former Virginia governor and Democratic National Committee chairman, said in a recent interview.

And there’s political logic here. The simple fact is that Trump has never won a majority of the national vote. He was president when Republicans lost the House in 2018. He lost the White in 2020. His false stolen election claims were blamed for Republican losses in the January 2021 Georgia Senate runoffs, which allowed Democrats to take control of the chamber. And this election cycle, Trump-backed Republicans – many of whom were election deniers – lost in critical Senate and governors’ races.

National exit polling from the midterms also bears out the fact that Trump may well be past his sell-by date. Just 39% of voters said they viewed Trump favorably, while 58% said they viewed him unfavorably. And 28% of voters said their House vote was cast to oppose Trump, compared to 16% who said their vote was a sign of support for the former president.

Now, of course, if you asked any Democrat (including Hillary Clinton!) which Republican they wanted to run against in 2016, they all would have answered “Donald Trump.” And we know how that one turned out.

The bloodlust will not allow them to allow Trump to remain free to run again....destroying Trump is an irresistible urge.

Liz Cheney ‘confident’ Donald Trump will never be president again

Me too!

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) said Tuesday she is “confident” former President Trump will never be president again.

Trump is expected to announce his 2024 candidacy Tuesday evening from Mar-a-Lago.

Speaking at The Washington Post’s Global Women’s Summit, Cheney said the midterms were the chance “to make sure we prevented election deniers from taking power,” and voters did just that in many races.

Cheney, a member of the House Jan. 6 investigation panel, said Trump’s involvement in the insurrection shows he is completely unfit for office.

“It’s important for people to look at what’s happening and what he’s doing, not just through a political lens, but through the basic facts of his total lack of fitness for office,” said Cheney.

“The Jan. 6 committee has laid out very clearly his direct and personal involvement in every aspect of the plan to overturn the last election,” she said.

“While that bloody battle was underway at the Capitol, despite everyone around him pleading with him to tell the mob to stop and go home, he wouldn’t do it. He sat and watched on television,” she continued.

This is really funny. You guys gave me all kinds of sh*t the other day when I said Democrats couldn't quit Trump and you want him around yet look at this.

I had extensive dental work today, I am in the mood for neither idiots nor liars.

This is your warning statement.

Your thinking is garbage quality.

I'll take that as a compliment but at the same time I'll bite. Will he not be allowed to be President because he won't get enough votes? Or is 'the man' preventing him from getting all the votes he should really receive?

To start with you are going to have to start making statements if you desire my attention.

Here we go!

"(Bloomberg) -- Donald Trump entered the 2024 US presidential race on Tuesday, making official what he’s been teasing for months just as many Republicans are preparing to move away from their longtime standard bearer."

Thank you! RIP GOP!!!

Because he is a threat to the Failed Elite Class, and way the fuck too many people know that he is right, so he must go.

The abused are not allowed to have leaders.

Trump is a failed elite. We need somebody with character as president and anybody who lies to the American people, convinces them of those lies, and tries to overturn an election has no character.

Sit Down.

While I really would not want to vote for Trump, a Liz Cheney / Mitt Romney-style Republican candidate is far worse and would not get my vote either. That sort are nothing more than Democrat-lite.
