Democrats always blame Republicans for every shutdown, and Democrats always characterize their own actions/decisions as "fighting for the American people". There is nothing different in this case other than Republicans want this shutdown to remain in effect long enough for Trump to go to town on the Federal government ... and that will eventually compel the Democrats to CAVE completely.

OK, I see what you are trying to say, but "conversely" means something else, i.e. the reversal of the antecedent and the consequent. In this case, "Conversely" would be "Conversely, you can tell the Democrats are going to try to convince folks it isn't their fault by noting how they feel that it is their fault."
