Democrats against education...

Your opinin means nothing, given that you avoid the simple facts: charter schools that use PUBLIC school facilities, and then CHOOSE what students they educate

The most academically successful New York City public schools also choose what students they educate as well. You just can not walk into high schools like Stuyvesant High School or the Bronx High School of Science. You have to apply and meet their strict academic standards.

One can not legitimately call the practice "BOGUS" on the part of charter schools, and ignore the same practice by public schools. Particularly the most successful public schools.

1) Wrong. There is a difference, as I pointed out...which is why one is PRIVATE and the other one is PUBLIC. What are trying to do, sell some sort of L. Ron Hubbard neologisms here? A rose by any other name.....

They are privately run, but they are public schools. Parents do not pay to send their kids to these schools. They are thus open to the public the same way traditional public schools are.

2) Read the damned articles that I referenced, will ya please? I tire of your willful ignorance.

Nothing you posted showed any evidence that teachers are on 24/7 standby.

3) Ahhh, but if it's a straight up lottery, then the winner gets in regardless of their disciplinary (to a degree) or inability to learn quickly. That is NOT the case with charter schools. Again, public schools take ALL kids by law....charter schools do not. Got that bunky?

Bunky? What are you... 90?
Not sure where you are getting your info, but most states require charter schools to accept any kid that wants to attend. If they have more demand than supply, then a lottery among all kids is held.

Nice try, but we are talking specifically about public schools and the use of their facilities by charter schools. Also, if you had bothered to do the research, you'd know that you are confusing ENTRY EXAMS for high schools (some private, some public) with the OPTION that charter schools in grade school to choose what students they educate...something that NO public grade school has.

Wrong again. In NYC you have PUBLIC SCHOOL BUILDINGS who are being made to give space to CHARTER SCHOOLS....a major point of contention being that over-crowding of schools has been an issue in NYC for over 30 years. As the article I put forth stated, you could BUILD a new school for the amount of money spent on charter school propaganda commercials in less than a month! A matter of fact, a matter of history that you need to get up to speed on, as I tire of doing your homework for you.

Then you're either a liar or not a very comprehensive reader. Here's a more detailed explanation. Go to page 4, under Collective Bargaining and Compensation. Then go back and READ the articles I previously provided: http://www.ncsl.org/documents/educ/teachingincharterschools.pdf

But if you need it spelled out for you more:

There's MORE if you like.

Ahhh, but reality differs from the brochure! Check this out:

No, nothing to do with entry exams for high schools.

So why are you concerned with charter grade schools doing what public high schools routinely do?

And it's not just the elite high schools. For the past 10 years, NYC has been engaging in routinely closing large and failing high schools and re-opening with 3, 4, or 5 smaller 'academies' within the old building structure. Each with its own principal who is allowed to handpick the students for these academies, where once any student was able to attend.

Again Tai... learn to work the quotes or just respond to everything at the bottom. You retard.

Yes moron, they are public school buildings being used by PUBLIC schools. The Charter schools are PUBLIC schools.

Again moron, nothing in those links states that teachers are on call 24/7. NOTHING. Which is why you can't quote the portion that does.

Then you obviously don't know WTF is going on, or you're deliberately trying to distort the issue.

So why are you concerned with charter grade schools doing what public high schools routinely do?

Why are you repeatedly misrepresenting what I am saying and what is contained in the articles I linked?

Seems you have a knack for IGNORING information that doesn't fit your oft repeated myopic view point. Here's how I pablum fed your equally (willfully) dim compadre:

http://www.justplainpolitics.com/sh...crats-against-education&p=1468796#post1468796

I suspect you'll ignore this in favor of repeating your supposition and conjecture (of which you provide no proof, as I have). Carry on.

Again Tai... learn to work the quotes or just respond to everything at the bottom. You retard. Stop being a bitchy little school girl...you read everything I wrote, you just can't refute it. Don't like it, IA me.

Again, charter schools are NOT public schools...if they were, then they WOULD NOT have a separate title, standards, etc.

YOU ARE A SUPER FREAKING LIAR, BECAUSE I SUPPLIED TESTIMONY AND OFFICIAL DEFINITIONS AS TO HOW CHARTER SCHOOLS DEAL WITH TEACHERS http://www.justplainpolitics.com/sh...crats-against-education&p=1468796#post1468796

YOU are a willfully ignorant neocon/teabagging clown, who doesn't have the guts or the honesty to read any material that contradicts your beliefs. I read what you provide, which is why I can easily prove you wrong. All you are hoping for is for an excerpt that you can try to take out of context and divert your original failures.

Now, be a good fool and state that nowhere in the information I provide does it state or allude to the FACT that charter school teachers are on call 24/7, as their work load dictates. Then and only then will I humiliate you with quotes, and then watch you squirm.

Superfreak said that charter schools weren't public schools last week, but he was viciously slapped down by his fellow conservatives, and he apologized. So I don't think you'll see him step out of line on that again.

I was addressing the part of your gripe about charter schools being able to "choose" who they accept, and that public schools do not.

When I repeatedly point out that the better NYC public schools also chose their students you just melt into a tirade of insults.

But, whatever floats your boat. If responding to facts that do not fit neatly into your pre-conceived notions -with insults- is considered a sign of intelligence within your circles, then you're clearly a genius.

Wow, you are truly desperate for attention. The above is yet another post of yours filled with nonsense.

Super Freak has YET to even acknowledge he's wrong on a point in all the debates I've had with him....he usually just suddenly stops engaging or remains insipidly stubborn. I'll be shocked if he does otherwise here.

No shit, sherlock....and I've provided PROOF that they indeed do despite what their official mandate states. That was proven in the NY Daily News articles I put out, and then the subsequent testimonies by actual teachers and a review by one state paper.

Stop lying.....because to date you keep confusing high school entrance exams with common enrollment for grade school. I point this out, and you just ignore it and keep regurgitating your BS. PROVE WHAT YOU SAY, AS I DO...BECAUSE YOUR OPINION, SUPPOSITION AND CONJECTURE ARE WORTHLESS.

But, whatever floats your boat. If responding to facts that do not fit neatly into your pre-conceived notions -with insults- is considered a sign of intelligence within your circles, then you're clearly a genius.

The chronology of the posts shows your last paragraph to be completely false and delusional. You just can't/won't address the information I provide, because you haven't the intellectual courage to debate the FACTS that interfere with your beliefs and the propaganda that supports it. Now, run-a-long and repeat your BS ad nauseum. You're done.
