Bag On My Head

Leftists want you to believe that unionized public schools are essential, because without incessant indoctrination during childhood, they might not be able to sway many young people to their suicidal ideology.
That’s why public schools suck up half of local government spending, and why America spends $14,000 per year on each child in K–12 public "schools".
Most of that ends up in unionized teachers' pockets, of course, and a huge chunk of it finances the DEMOCRAT Party.
As the leftist public "educational" monopsony insists their work-shy foot soldiers are "heroic", I want to know: Is America’s unionized "education" system essential?
Nearly a year after the politically-motivated pandemic panic gave unionized public "school" teachers and DEMOCRAT politicians an excuse to shut down schools while Fauci "flattened the curve", most children are still not back in classrooms - but teachers collect their salaries, benefits, and pension contributions anyway.
That may be a good thing, since despite ever-increasing spending on "public education" AKA leftist indoctrination, test scores have plummeted for decades.
This begs the question: what do kids learn in school, anyway?
You see, standardized testing doesn't rank "hatred for America" as a desirable skill.
