Speaker Boehner calls on Senate Dems to act on House-passed funding bills, then join negotiations to end "needless shutdown."

House votes 235-162 on GOP bill to restore funding to FDA food and drug safety programs. WH opposes and no Senate action expected.

House taking up bill to fund Head Start program for low income children. WH says Pres Obama would veto if it reaches his desk.

The GOP cut Heat Start and now they want to hold a shotgun to which programs they will fund. Grow a pair.
