DEMOCRATS, in fact, now represent 41 out of the top 50 wealthiest congressional districts — and all 10 of the top 10 wealthiest districts, according to a recent election study.

Underneath this surface of wealth, however, lies a great deal of wealth inequality.

To assess the level of wealth and income inequality in congressional districts, the Gini index was used as the prime indicator. The Gini index, or Gini coefficient, is used to measure the level of economic inequality in a given place. congressional districts, ones with a Gini index of 0.50 (50%) or higher are considered the most unequal.

These are the top 5 unequal districts in America, ranked by wealth inequality.

Under French law the country's coastlines must be accessible to all, similarly to Britain's "right to roam" rules. Hikers demanding right of way along a pristine stretch of coastal France are locked in a legal war with former US presidential candidate John Kerry.

Kerry speaks French and has regularly spent time at his estate in Saint-Briac.

"The path will impact the well-being of residents by knocking down their walls and ruining their privacy," Brice Lalonde, Kerry's first cousin, told AFP in a statement.
